Has anyone tried these KI Tech tips? A customer bought one and asked me to install it this weekend. I was kinda surprised. It machined like a hard tip but felt and sounded like a soft tip. I only played with it for about 30 minutes but it looks like it will hold it's shape well. Very pleased with the performance. This on was marked Med/Hard. I will buy more! Was just wondering if others had a similiar experience. Great Product!

Tried a few of these they hold shape well I would probably recommend not getting the hard tips they are very very hard tips almost like break tips but had great results with the MED and Softs

MD's

I had someone bring me a couple to install for them.
To me, they look and feel like a very well made milk dud type of tip.
Is that true?

Thanks!

I like them. My friend likes them. they hold their shape well.
I am having a hard tip put on my second shaft and will get it tonight.
my tip installer thinks I will not like it because he thinks its too hard.
No problem I have a pocket knife and if I don't like it off it will come .
funny that in the old days when Le Pro was the tip almost everyone used all I ever heard was the harder the better.
Now it seems soft is the most popular.
Ki Tech tips rock.

Great tip

I have a soft ki on my main player and love it I can break and not need to reshape. It has been on for months. Not one time has it needed to be reshaped. I also put the hard on my other cue and really like it to, but it is very hard and I can't play finesse shots as well.

I will play with the hard tip tomorrow and report back.

I am testing out a medium; plays medium-hard, hits consistent, grips nicely; applies spin with ease; nice ping; would recommend a professional install, however; put this one on with a Willard Tipper and had to change blades.

I played with the hard tip today
It was not as hard as I thought it would be. Certainty not as hard as a Le Pro Or Triangle.
I would say it's a medium hard as compared to really hard tips.
Because there is no standard to go by it's all subjective to ones own feel.
But i did like the hard tip a lot.
I had a friend of mine hit balls with Ki-Tech soft and hard tips and he did not like the soft but loved the hard tip.
It made a nice sound also.
I like these tips.

Great install on the soft and medium.... Heat and dull are bad mojo on both those tip grades and it looks like you have it down to a science......

Sent Palmetto a PM asking him to offer any advise he has on the installs and burnishing of the softs and mediums.. Hopefully he will pst something on here tonight....

Soft Install - Today, 04:08 PM

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Installed a couple softs this past weekend. Really liked the way they play. Seems to be holding it's shape well so far. Trimming and shaping these soft tips is a little like trimming an Elkmaster in my opinion. A sharp blade is a must to keep the heat down. I didn't have any trouble because as soon as I started to trim the sides I could tell my blade was too dull. I was figuring I would only get one more tip with it anyway. After changing the blade and applying some good ol spit it trimmed and shaped fine. I'd be happy to help with any other tips or advise. Most of what I know is info given from the talented folks
right here on AZ! Hope this helps!

10 days of play and I'm still liking it very much! Holding it's shape well and I don't see any mushrooming. 10 more days and I'll chuck it up, inspect, cut it off, and try a medium on my test cue.
