R/H players move the left foot forward when they get down addressing the shot, left handed players do the opposite.
When the greatest make their decisions on the shot and shot line.... you'll often seen there heals touching in a vee shape before they get down ''kick out'' how much they kick out and forward with their left or right foot, creates their balanced three point stance.... allowing the swing/follow thru to be on a ''straight'' line.

I wonder if that's backward engineered from how they shoot- which might not be a bad idea. I think the pirouette into stance is a little too anti alignment. Looking cool is so important? Prowess or something. lol...
