Folks, I have played with the Tsunami, both versions. My buddy had the original for 18 months and sold it to get the 2.0 with the phenolic insert to protect the threads. It is a very nice shaft but it’s usually about 1/2 oz. lighter (flat face design) than I want, especially in a 29”length, costs hundreds more than I paid and lead time is silly. This isn’t a mere pool cue being built.
But cue makers also vary in lead time so if you really want a Hercek cue, then the decade wait won’t be unacceptable.
The same applies to Tsunami KW shafts. Personally, I prefer to save money and time if the end result is acceptable and
since I have done this, I already know that less expensive and quicker are perfectly suited for ordering a KW shaft built.
