Killer Shaft

I had Rick Howard make me a matching shaft for my cue. It has a 1/2 inch ivory ferrule, matching ivory and silver ringwork, Kamui Black H tip, and has lots of growth rings. 4 ounces, 13.05 mm this thing is a hard hitter with very little deflection. I am very impressed with Rick's work.

Check it out-

i used to be strongly against uncapped ferrules. i was asked to do a 1/2'' uncapped and figured it try it for myself. i admitt when im wrong. and i was very wrong. its my new choice for a player... its a very noticeable difference. deflection wise feel wise stiffness. across the board

Dave-

I asked Rick about this. All of his ferrules are capped, but I believe your analysis still holds. This shaft feels great.

Ricks work is as good as any cuemaker today.

Veneers are AWESOME.

Shafts are UNBELIEVABLE!

For those who know, and can give a honest unbiased opinion, they all respect Ricks work.

How does a 1/2 ivory plays??

the cue played perfect the way it was. i'm curious to see how it plays now though!

Very nice shaft ! The rings are incredible ! How much will be one of that ?

Rick prices each shaft individually based on the ferrule, ringwork and tip. This one cost more because the rings had to match my cue.

Give him a call and he will give you a quote.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Rick does exceptional work.

Nice to look at, but more importantly, excellent playing cues.

He's a very easy-going guy too, so if you have an unusual request, he will listen to you. Not everyone out there is willing to do that.

Plus, you don't have to wait several years to get a cue, which is definitely nice!
