He has definately raised the bar for everybody
This is just plain and easy CNC work. No human skills needed at all here ! The machine does all the work by itself. I can do this... :boring:
What do you mean ? Jealous ? Me ? Nooooo...
Are you kiddin' me ??? Tony's skills and knowledge of cuemaking are way way better than mine and I would just love to be able to make what he does. His cues do make look mine like Walmart sticks.
Just drewling on my keyboard when looking at the pics...Wow... brillant... :bow-down:
And thank you so very much, Steve, for shooting such fine pictures and willing to share them with the rest of us.

I am very rarely moved to comment twice on a cue but I missed something the first time around with the level of detail in the butt (its soooooooooo distracting). The silver and ivory inlays overlap the ivory points and more importantly, the ivory stalk at the top of the wrap comes from behind the point to the front of the point using ebony as a 'shadow' where it enters. It highlights the ivory within the ivory. Its a small detail but massive in terms of continuity and form.
This cue is huge. I am so impressed. If any of those $6K cues are left and I can spec it out (as a player), let me know Steve. Its about time Tony made me a cue, lol.
beautiful....great artistry and design....I don't know if I would rather try and beat the world with it or put it next to the paintings in the smithsonian!
Tell you what tho anyone playing for the cash against that cue is gonna have a hard time keeping their eye on the balls and not your cue

Stop stalling.....get pics of the players cue up.
I will be posting pics up tonight of my BB African Blackwood playing cue
Sir,
My previous post was in error...and I sincerely apologize for the mix-up.
It wasn't the mind-mangling, eye-exploding, heart-stopping BB in THIS thread that Tony accidently shipped to you...it's the African Blackwood player's cue that's mine. An honest mistake, but a mistake nonetheless.
I just got my wires crossed with Tony...that's all. I blame the blood clot that formed on my brain when I saw these pics of yours.
Please forward my Blackwood BB cue on to me ASAP...and I appreciate your willingness to cooperate fully. I'll have my people call your people to arrange the shipment.
Warmest regards, and thanks much.
Mark <----dying to see what MY Blackwood BB cue looks like!!![]()
Ian, sorry, but it is pink ivory. I fixed that mistake
Aren't red ivory and pink ivory the same thing? If so, then you weren't really mistaken after all.
Either way, the buttsleeve of this cue is gorgeous! Truly elegant. Its a good thing Tony DIDN'T listen to you and left a good amount of wood showing (no offense). By showing the wood and still incorporating all the inlay work, it shows just how precise and how intricate his work is.
I just came back to this thread and looked at this cue again and it floors me even more the second time around. Nobody can top this cue and there are some awfully talented cue makers in this world, but this is THE CUE to compare all other fancy cues to. From joint pin to butt cap it's absolutely perfect in every way.
Steve, you don't need to buy any more cues because you have the holy grain in your possession. What a prize cue for anyone to own and you are a lucky man to have this cue in your collection........
James
