what needs to be done to the rails to put on a carom #37 profile. does an angled shim need to go on the face? need to know.

The sub rails have to be changed completely for the 37 cushions.

Goddam. I know you can do just about anything to a pool table, but really?

How the fluck are you gonna put 37 cushions on a table that only has 4 rails?

I gotta see pics of this.

hahaha.

This is a P37 cushion (but Im guessing you knew that)

can someone elaborate on what that involves? thanks

Yes, it involves cutting off the existing sub-rails on your table, and replacing them with a new sub-rail designed to fit the P37 step cushions...much easier said than done. Next, is the cost of the labor...around $1,000.

anything i can use without changing the subrails that would be comparable? its a brunswick regina carom table . thanks

There's no K55 billiards cushions that I know of that are as dense as the P37 cushions...which is what the real difference is.

I realize its opinion but a very informed one. Is it worth doing to a t rail table and who could do the job the most precisely? Who might have the kind of experience that would insure a top notch job?

Big enough that no American table manufacture has a 3C table in the top 10 made;)

Actually Glen...guess What? I just pulled what looked to be 37's off an antique Brunswick ...switched them to 55's with no trouble. Originally I though it was snooker table with standard pockets. Learn something everyday..

You probably ran into the situation I had with an Arcade table 2 years ago.
Cushions (original) had a profile similar to P37 but dimensions were much smaller.
Changed them to 55's but removed the bottom shelf and rebeveled the subrail to make them work right.
