Klenti Kaci: A Legend in the Making

I do not think he plays that slow. I am sure there are much slower pro level players out there.

I've got to agree. I've seen much slower play. He's methodical and get's it done once he's in line. Not seeing what a few others are seeing and I've watched quite a few of his matches. YMMV

I tend to enjoy watching the pace of players like Shaw, Thorpe, Earl, etc. After watching the Shaw/Sanchez-Ruiz match, the rest of the matches that did not include those two players seemed to move uncomfortably slow for me.

Fair enough. I too enjoy the pretty quick pace of play as you do. When I think of slow, my mind goes back to the days of Kid Delicious stroking the cue 50 times before he pulled the trigger. Personally, this young man did not come across as distractingly slow for me. That's all.

Kaci is a very fine player with a lot of talent. He's also a great guy with a good attitude. It's tough not to be happy for him.

.... but count me among those who feel Kaci's play is lethargically slow. His pre-shot routine is slow and he can be laborious even when presiding over simple decisions and positions. I watched a few of his matches at Steinway. His quarterfinal against Damianos took about 4 1/2 hours, and Damianos is not a slow player.

I'd much rather see Jayson Shaw be the next poster boy for men's pro pool. Jayson keeps the game moving and is a pleasure to watch.

Well I can see how someone can compare war with the MC after I smoked a couple joints , first off they get trained to fight by our armed services and that's in a eviorment of win at all costs regardless of wether they are actually citizens or not but I digress

It would be interesting to see how he would play with a chess clock.

I agree about the pace: the death of audience interest and enthusiasm.
