Knock knock Unique Products

I had a Hightower Delux packaged and shipped by the UPS store, and when it arrived the box had a hole the size of a volleyball in it! They must use gorillas somewhere in their distribution chanel. Lucky for me, there was no damage. IIRC they wanted an extra $200 to construct a crate for it, but I passed on that option.

According to the shipper, they said "don't worry, we will handle it" and charged him accordingly. All I want is what is fair, which I believe to be the machine as it was when it was shipped and the money for shipping returned to the person I bought this from.

Call me at the shop today to discuss replacement parts.

This was not shipped by Unique Products, this was bought second hand, and shipped from USP store.

Jim, I have a great amount of respect for you guys at Unique. I didn't mean to imply that you guys behaved in this manner. Just curious where most people think the buck stops per say. As an example lets say that someone purchased a cue monster second hand. They call you guys for programming help. I am not looking for the answer of what you would do, just what would cue makers "expect you to do". Does this make sence?

As far as Unique Products is concerned, we always try to help anyone in the Cue business. We do not "STOP" the buck, just because you purchased our machinery elsewhere. Many occasions we help customers that have other CNC Machines. We will always help, and have always helped anyone that needs help.

Just got off the phone with Jim and he went through the machine with me and got it all "straightened" out. Apparently, UPS dropped it hard enough to twist the Thompson rods. I really didn't want to mess with the machine without his input and he was more than helpful. He is sending me the required parts and I am looking forward to doing more business with him.

THIS WAS PURCHASED USED. UPS BOXED IT IMPROPERLY AND DROP KICKED IT A FEW TIMES TO SEE HOW MUCH DAMAGE THEY COULD DO.

This is the same type of experiences I've had with Jim. Glad to see it worked out.
