I want to give a public acknowledgement and thank you to Scott Whisler of Whisler Custom Cues. A few months ago I bought a Whisler cue from an AZB-er because it had a slight warp at the "a" joint. Scott worked with me on a VERY fair price to replace the handle and refinish/rewrap the cue. And, he added a new shaft because he was not happy with one of the originals - no charge.

Scott was a pleasure to work with and a funny guy, too. Ask him about his thermonuclear bomb proof packaging - I think he should patent it! :p

Here is the finished product - a simple coco Hoppe-style cue with a very solid feel and gorgeous finish. By working with him, I am into a nice cue for waayyy less than normal retail. Thanks, Scott! :D

p.s. The pics don't do the cue justice . . . .

That's some pretty coco Scott and a nice job by Mr. Whistler.

Ross, you should be ashamed...:D

I would really like to see more of Whistler's works. So far i have seen the cue posted here and a purple heart titlist conversion that someone posted a little while ago done by him. I must say his work seems to be of good quality.

Does anyone else have something to share from Whistler?

Nice looking cue. Does that cue have a full splice?
No. Unfortunately this is not one of Scott's full-splice cues. If it was, it would not have had the "A" joint issue.

I would recommend going to Scott's site and checking out some of the other cues he has made.

Even his prices on his site seem very reasonable. nice looking cue by the way. How does it hit?

Have an ebony hoppe cue in the way from scott. Points are full spliced but forearm is joined to maple handle with a wood screw joint-no metal. Should be a sweet cue, cant wait. Will post pics when it arrives.

It plays very solidly. I still prefer some other SS jointed cues that I have, but this one is nice.

I can only tell you folks that the conversion cue I had Scott make for me is FANTASTIC in all respects .... period

He makes a GREAT CUE! :)

I was lucky enough to see Ken's Whisler conversion.....and it is quite lovely in person. Another case of pics not doing a cue justice. Couldn't tell you how it hit tho'. :)
