L/F Bull nose live center

I need a bull nose or cone style or pointed live center. However it's called. I'm on a small budget. I have one to trade if necessary.
 
If the one in your link is what you are after, buy that one.
Chris Hightower sells the cone/60deg included angle one, he also has a dished one for centralizing tips.
They are cheap enough just buy them.
The only way to get it cheaper is to make one yourself. If you make it yourself you can make it to exactly what you are wanting and from materials of your choice, ie brass or Ali or steel or plastic or something else.

Because I don't have the money to buy that one or a new one. If I knew how to make one I would. If you could give me an example or an idea of how to I would greatly appreciate it.

Well, to help you out, I need a lot more info, ie what lathe you currently have, what type of Tail stock it has. Can your lathe be set to cut threads etc.
Do you have any taps or dies ? what drills and cutting tools do you have etc.
After knowing that info can work on some kind of instructional for you.

Are you saying you need a smaller one than what you pictured? Because you one you pictured from PSI is only 16 bucks. Doesn't get any cheaper than that.

You could always just cut that one down.
 
I have a basic repair lathe from mid america. I thought about cutting the one I have down. We'll see. Just trying an easier route.

If you already have one, just remove the outer piece, and make another one to slip over those bearings with the shape and size and length you want. It can be made from steel, aluminum, brass, delrin etc
