If anyone plays or has played with a Lambros with the ultra joint, I would appreciated any feedback. Describe how it plays if that makes any sense.

They play great. Almost feels like the cue is on automatic. very solid hit.

Cues play ok but good luck trying to get a hold of anyone there after a sale should you need anything.

I agree with this one of the best playing cues I have ever owned. If there is a negative it is that if you ever need a new shaft you are totally dependent on Mike Lambros since no other cue maker can do the Ultra Joint.

Have 2. Plain jane and 6 pointer. Ultimate and ultra joint can't really tell the difference .... Super solid , shoot very straight great feel. Best playing cues I've ever had. I've talk to Mike Lambros couple of times ..no problems reaching him... Cannot comment on customer service...as have not needed anything.

I played with all major custom brands..cues ranging well into the 5 figs. Lambros makes the best hitting cue of all of them. I'd rather play with a 2-3k Lambros than a 15k "WHATEVER" (will leave blank because that fits a few cue makers).

I'm on my third Lambros and it is what it is... they play the best.

The Ultra Joint feels worse than a flat-faced 3/8x10.

By worse, I mean less feedback.

The flat faced big pin is my favorite for the feedback. Mike fixed something that ain't broke, in my opinion.

Shaft wood varies from amazing to meh.

Nice cues, with great work, but I'll never own one.

His right hand man posts on here. His phone number is readily available. Never had a problem getting a hold of Mike as he answers his own phone.

I have one and consider the hit crisp and tight. It hits whitey with the best of 'em. Also I've called Mike on a couple occasions and never had a problem with him not responding or picking up the phone. It might be a person specific problem.

Then by your thoughts any buyer will really be screwed if Mike stops making cues huh?

I'd think any good cue maker can figure out how to reproduce a shaft for Mikes cues as long as they have the butt. It may cost ya a bit more but they can do it... Just don't need or want to if Mikes still building..

One of my top three best playing cues. Never had any issues with customer service.

The cue was designed for a muted, quiet hit, trying to keep as consistent as possible throughout the wide range of english. Very little buzz or ping at extreme spin. If that's what you're looking for, Lambros is your cue.

I love Lambros cues. I had I think four at one point, and my favorite has always been a flatfaced 3/8x10 jointed sneaky pete, from 2001 right as he started with the ultra joint. All the others I had had the ultra joint and they were all great, but my favorite was the only one without it and so I sold all the others. The best thing about his cues in my opinion is the balance. They have that weightless feel of just a really well-balanced cue. The only thing I have any semblance of a problem with is that IMO his aesthetic is a bit one-dimensional with the rings and long points, and he's pretty set in his ways.

That's a great description of the Lambros 'hit' and is what I feel his cue exhibits.

Never had a problem contacting Mike. Played my best pool with a Lambros, so I'm a fan for life.

I like the hit too, the only one thing that i had to adjust is for deflection because I used to play with predator z2 LD shaft.

Hard to beat a Lambros for quality and Playability...
I really enjoy Mike's attitude and professionalism.
Ordered a couple cues from Him,
ALWAYS EXCELLENT SERVICE.
DEFINITELY 1 of the good guys in cue-making today
" His WORD MEANS ALOT TO HIM"
HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Yea live your life by Yelp, what a joke

Where's the joke?
A review is a review.
Besides too many people, both here and other places, have said the man is a total jerk for this to be an isolated incidence.
I have one of his cues and like the Richard Black cues much more.
Just fits me and what I look for in a hit much better.
That's not to say there's anything wrong with a Lambros.
And it also has nothing to do with the fact that a LOT of people got him on their wrong side.

If you live close to Baltimore you can stop by his shop and discuss what you like. He was great to deal with. As someone said earlier his cues are very well balanced, and to me they feel lighter then they are. I ordered one in March with the ultimate joint. Hope to have it by sometime in August. I just don't know if the riots had any impact on his operation.
