Here is a picture of my gear, Jack! I will never use any other case. There is not one sponsor in this game that could treat their players any better! I encourage everyone reading this to check out Jack's website, get in contact with him, and have him build a case for you. Hope to see you soon, Jack! (That is a Mike Capone custom cue as well. Fantastic.)

I saw on Facebook where Landon posted he loved the pic of his team at the Ballpark Village event and where his team from Lindenwood won the free trip to watch the 2017 Mosconi Cup.....by beating a team of basically 5 pros out of Memphis High Pockets. And to those of you that want to 'fix' the US team by adding Canada, note that Jason Klatt was on that team.

From what I see, Landon doesn't generally post much about pool.

But I've seen him play and his talent level is obviously super high. People talk about Thorpe or Josh to make a push for next year's Mosconi Cup. To me, the answer is Landon Shuffett. Someone inspire this young man to fit pool into his life enough to make it happen.

2017 Mosconi Cup team - Bergman, Sky, Oscar, Landon and then see who else really wants to play with them. If it is SVB or not, so be it.

Oh and Landon, not that you need me to tell you this, after college get a real job too. Pool in the US sucks, I am sure you know this. Just make it a hobby enough for us fans to watch the US win some more Mosconi Cups.

I was wondering about Landon Shuffett for the Mosconi Cup team too, and then I thought, "how about Mosconi Cup for team for players 21 and under"?

Maybe make the team captain Landon's father (I bet he could be a great captain), and then do a national qualifier for the best 5 21 or younger players.

It is just an idea.

Then maybe Europe could do the same thing (get together a team of their 5 best players who are 21 or younger).

I do think that Landon Shuffett would make a great addition to the Mosconi Cup team though.

I do not think it would hurt to throw the points system out, and give the young players a shot at playing in the Mosconi Cup.

Who knows, they might do better then the US has done for the last several years, against Europe.

Hi Landon, I really love the looks of your cue, and very beautiful case too. I hope to see you play (in person) someday in the future. I love your game. You are such a great player.

If it looks like a pro pool player, if it walks like a pro pool player and it plays like a pro pool player, it may well be one!

The praises that have been heaped on Landon in this thread are completely justified.

Of course Landon would make a GREAT Mosconi Cup Team player because he is already a TEAM PLAYER with superb talent.

His mom and dad and the rest of his family did a great job or raising him however it is readily apparent that he is his own man and making excellent decisions about everything in his life.

For whatever reason, I actually have a sense of pride for Landon, I guess because it is so rare to see all of the qualities that he possesses in one person, let alone in the hobby we all love.

(Just keep being "Landon" and whatever happens in pool will be just fine for you and all of us.)

Landon -

I have seen you play banks in Louisville and rotation games.

Thank you for the kind words!

Stan referred me to this thread and after I read Landon's post, I sent Landon a text to tell him that his response shows exactly why people know he's a class act. #proudmamamoment

Thank you all for the kind sentiments about Landon's character. For the record, I agree with all of them! ;)

Ken...
Growing up my dad wanted me to be, at the least, very familiar with all games...so we would practice banks, one pocket, 14.1, 8-ball, etc., on a regular basis. However, out of all the different games, one pocket is my weakest. I could hang in there OK at times but that'd be about it. I admire the game though and the people that can play it well!

Thank you all, again, for the kind comments!!

I know, I know .....he can get the 7 ball or whatever from the top players. But the top players aren’t winning when sent to be on the MC Team. Time to make a call to the bullpen and bring in Landon.

Respect, Love and Admiration

Never meet him. Have watched all of the handful of videos (most just clips) of him available online. Landon Shuffett is hands down my favorite pool player, ever. Every time he is at the table, it's a clinic on form and execution. Can't help but to think about Stan when I watch him play. The level of excellence displayed is quite overwhelming. Their effort, words and actions on any topic at hand aways reach toward its essence. Inspiring. Still hope to make it to a full CTE Pro One weekend some day. Never had more respect, love and admiration for a mother, a father, a family I've never meet.

This is so depressing for USA Pool, and I am trying to talk down Landon or anyone, but while in other regions out there, players are fighting to get a spot, organizers are having a hard time deciding who to pick and to not pick, here we are having hope for a good player who hasn't played at pro level for the last 5 years so that he can consider play again and make it to the top...

I have an idea for USA Team, go to Taiwan for a month for training, they have the best trainers and training system in the world over there, and also there are ton of Taiwanese pros for practicing matches. I think it's most likely better than the training camps that stretches for few months and have almost zero profit, playing again Russian team, they even put a teenager girl in team, not saying that's not a good team but that's not the best team you want to put on a test with.

I would bet that he would have just as much of a chance as any of the other US players on the Mosconi Cup team. He is such a strong player, with everything (all of the same fundamentals) that I see in the best of the European players. I think he would have a good chance, in that MC format.

IIRC he doesn't play much now. Think he's going to teach school(?) or something. Kinda doubt he's tournament ready lately.
