Largest Pool Halls in the USA?

Not among the very biggest but nice to see, there's a newer room in Bowie MD near Annapolis with 30ish tables, mostly Diamonds and a few Rassons. I think it's called Center Pocket. Really nice room that seems to do very well. Nice folks own the place and really seem to care.

$10 Per day? Wow, that's a great deal!

I think Hard Times here in Sacramento has about 30 tables. 9 9' Diamonds, 1 or 2 7' Diamonds, and the rest 9' GCs. Jointed Cue has 18 tables, 3 10' billiard tables, 5 9' Diamonds, and the rest GCs.
open until closing time. Unheard of rates, and everything is well maintained.

Felt in Englewood,Co has 11 9 foot and 20 (?) 7 foot Diamonds.
One snooker table.
Years ago I played in the Ballroom in Toms River N.J. it had 36 Gold Crowns with room for 10 more.
It was packed every night with a long waiting list.

I loved playing at Felt when I lived in that area. Great pool room!

Q-Master Billiards in Virginia Beach, VA claims to be the largest now, with about 70 tables.
I think a more important issue would be: how many tables of universal/consistent high quality, in an adequately spacious/serene environment conducive to serious play? Likely less than a quarter at Q-Master would qualify, though their standard is indeed impeccable (9’ Diamonds in a separate ‘tournament’ room).
In the ‘90s, it was either Red Shoes or Chris’s in Chicago. Back then, Keystone in Indy was also (9’ GCs, no loud jukebox).

I appreciate all the input. I didn't realize there were still pool halls out there with more than 50 tables.

Thanks

If you've not been to Q Masters in a while, you might be pleasantly surprised. The old bar boxes have been replaced with Diamonds. I think it also went non-smoking. They've really put some money and effort in recently.

Iron City Billiards ~ Birmingham Alabama.
26 7' Diamonds - $5 per person per day
10 9' Diamonds - $10 per person per day. 2 or 3 are triple shimmed

The two 9’ers at 3 3/4” are stupid tight😝

The Carom Room in Beloit, WI has 34 or 35 tables - 23 upstairs and 9 or 10 in the new downstairs addition. Most are 7 foot Diamonds, but there are also quite a few 9 foot Diamonds, two Verhoeven billiards tables and a GC snooker table. Possibly a couple 9 foot GCs as well, but my memory isn't clear on that. The tables are well maintained and the lighting is excellent.

It also features a full bar and grill with great food. The jukebox has classic rock, country, some modern stuff but no hip-hop or ultra hard metal rock. When the jukebox is not being played they stream pop/rock/country from the late 50s to present. Plenty of TVs throughout the building carrying network sports and streaming cue sports.

I'm not sure of the prime time hourly rate, but they do have a special of $7.00 for all you care to play from 11:00am to 3:00pm weekdays. They have a thriving league and tournament schedule as well. Not bad for a town of about 30,000 people. :)

That daily discount is the cornerstone of the Pool Room. You can't have a place open at top rates that opens at noon.
Retired guys can't and won't pay it and working people have more in their life than Pool.
If people are playing everyday and have responsibilities, you really can't hit them for over $200 a month.

Chris’s in Chicago: 40+ tables - pool, 3C, snookuh.

Here’s a good one. I live about 20 miles away from it but have never been to Chris’s. But I have been to BreakTime which is 1100 miles away.

Favorites for size, action and atmosphere - California Billiards, Bluegrass Billiards, Chris's in Chicago, Bogie's and Q-Masters.

These are all rooms that I have visited, Always wanted to go to the legendary Romine's. Iron City Billiards is on my immediate bucket list.
