For those who weren't aware, Larry Nevel had his leg amputated within the last calendar year due to medical complications, and was playing at Derby from a wheel chair.
I think Larry dd pretty well in the bank tourney, winning a few rounds, but something happened in the One Pocket, Larry got really frustrated, and he did not rebuy after his one pocket loss.
It looked a lot like Larry was simply incapable of physically executing his desired shots from his wheelchair.. And was getting very frustrated over that fact.
Is there anyone on the forums close to Larry, that could let us know if he is looking into, or has the option for a prosthetic? At one point, I was Facebook friends with his wife, but we had a falling out, and besides, I don't think they are together any more.
I'd really like to know if there is any possibility for Larry to reach his former level of play with a prostethic. Seems like if a prosthetic is an option, we might be able to look into some fundraisers, depending on the cost. Just a thought...
