I don't need to bet with anyone questioning my integrity, thank you very much. Jesus Christ, I've been in Iraq as a civilian contractor for two years, I don't think $500 is going to be a problem.

Now, do you want the bet or not? I would think I am well known enough on here that nobody needs to question whether I am gonna pay. If anything, I should be questioning your credit worthiness. You ain't been here that long.

I wasn't questioning your integrity, just doing my best to minimize risk.

A lot of things can happen considering that you're in Iraq (bombs, friendly fire, sending money orders through customs, etc.). If you don't want to post, that's cool. I'm sure I'll have plenty of action in person watching the match.

You might just want to take him up on the third party condition, but for YOUR protection. This guy has recently been exposed on here for lying (claimed on at least two occasions to know someone, and refered to them as a friend, and then later claimed not to know the person at all when it was to his benefit), and he is also one of the most vocal supporters of a resident cuemaker whose business practices are "questionable" at best. He may be completely honest when it comes to paying debts, but he is not in other things and five hundred bucks is not a small amount. The protection from using a third party helps BOTH parties.

Really, more than anything, I just wanted to bet with someone I already know and am familiar with. I bet with smokeandapancake on the Van Boening-Deuel race to 100, and we were completely comfortable with not posting up, and the bet was paid promptly afterwards..

Oh well.. I was just curious if there were any regulars on the forum that liked Larry's end of it that much.

I assumed it was a joke. Please tell me you don't think so little of your fellow AZ'ers that you believe they'd be stupid enough to take those odds...

And if the bet was directed solely at me, that tells me you think I am stupid. I don't like that, and I am hoping you will tell me different, before I decide to be offended.
