Last night at the pool hall I had my best hustle night to date.

OK OK just settle down. I think the one of the reasons you are getting beef is because its just not that believable of a story. You say 600 bucks was your biggest score and yet you are willing to go down 200 and then you claim you won the 800 off of another guy watching your "act" and not the guy you dumped to:confused: Its a pretty elaborate and risky set up is all. If its true I apolagize. I'm sorry.

FWIW (again) Bishop... if you do plan to do business here, it might be better to simply acknowledge that you understand that some people here believe what you did was less than honorable.

From your posts, you believe that what you did was justified... that is clear.

From what most of us have read, some of us feel that you weren't justified in your actions. (You believed that they were planning to hustle you... so you hustled them first.)

Your post above reflects a bit of immaturity on your part. You might want to consider not closing this discussion that way.

In other words... NOBODY wins... not you... not us... we just have differences of opinion. And we're not necessarily BETTER than you... we just don't see eye to eye on this one issue.

I went ahead and removed the story because a good portion of the posters here love to threaten and post insults rather than read and comprehend something before posting. I hope a few of you here wake up one day and magically grow a brain. I also hope one day insulting people and just generally being ignorant will cease here, but its doubtful.

There is nothing like a healthy dose of hypocrisy.

I mean there is not many bad players out there that will loose $800. So that means in order for you to pull this off I would suspect you play SOLID A speed. And if you play that well I would suspect you have made more than $600 in your life especially if your out slinging hustles like this. Correct me if I'm wrong but this is not a hustle for your mere B player. This has to be pulled off by someone that can play anyone they bring them....and like I said if you are that good $600 shouldn't be your highest score.

There are no "haters" here, imo. But what you described was dishonest, and I would be disappointed if people didn't react to it.

A few years ago there was a kid from Canada who bragged on the RSB newsgroup of his sales on ebay. He got winning bids of $500 for "the cue picture below." The winning bidders then received a photograph of a cue in the mail. He was proud of himself, and he justified it by saying he hadn't actually lied. I think he thought people would see him as clever, but people had a strong negative reaction instead.

Again, I think you made up what you thought was a cool-sounding story. If, in fact, you made it up and say so, or if you thought about it and now realize it was wrong, then that's fine. But if you really think your behavior was justified, then I for one wouldn't feel comfortable doing business with you.

Dude, chill a moment.
We all heard your perspective, and you feel you 'beat' the guys fair and square.

Yep, your thought process isn't hearing anything that doesn't agree with your opinion. The point being, you deceived folks, whether they were good or bad. Your original post, now removed, never said how they were out to cheat you first, IIRC. Only that YOU cheated them - setting them up, pretending, and doing everything you could with the only goal of getting the cheese. Take as much as possible from them, which somehow makes you a better man. Get it?

Oh, and then how somehow the posters here have now hampered your ability to do business here. Well, honestly man, who wouldn't have a little caution after hearing your exploits?

So if you want to learn something from all of this, it's that deception doesn't have many that agree that it is okay.

Just my $.02

Thanks for pointing out that people should have caution if they do business with me, becuase of the events that took place. This is why I asked for the thread to be closed so this doesn't get any worse than it already is by people like you thinking because I gambled or hustled I don't pay my bills or I might be a liability to work with.

The only thing I learned about all this is that I should have just kept my story to myself, and that some people have no aprehensions tossing insults, and I more than likely don't fit in here.

I didn't get into the why or how I knew he was trying to hustle me because I didn't want my post to drag out before getting to the events that took place. The guy qualified me with a series of questions about how I play, how much money I usually like to bring out in a night, where and how often do I like to find money games. It was obvious at the time it just took me awile to realize what he was after, I was just looking for some competition and a little wagering. Anyone looking back at the original encounter could see what this guys was doing, I wasn't expecting it thats why it didn't occur to me until I left the pool hall.

Well with that said I made it up then! Great story right, wow good flame war so back to normal ok. Great now can we get passed this and delete this thread. I would never snap a photo of something and sell it to someone like that. What you described is completely different and to correlate that event to mine is slanderous. I have and always have done great business. You people sure know how to lynch someone in heartbeat. Coming from a place that makes threads about what kind of drugs you like while your playing and I'm a liability.......unreal.

LOL Did you really make it up dude or not? I won't jump on you anymore. In fact I never should have. If I didnt believe you it was none of my buisness to say so. I'm just bored and this thread sounded as good as any to get involved in. This is really a great place. You are more than welcome by me anyways.:)

Totally fictitious I'm really just a second rate chump player, but I do have tons of disposable income and I always pay promptly and never tire kick plus I'm a verified paypal customer.

I don't take photos of things and decieve innocent people out of there hard earned money.

Good job CIA posters for sniffing me out.

:) Should I write another?

Slanderous?

No no no you don't understand Bishop. Please don't sue me. The photo story behavior wasn't supposed to correlate to your behavior. The analogy there was simply that the both of you bragged about something publicly and seemed unprepared for a negative reaction. So again please don't sue me and don't be mad. I didn't think what you did was like selling a picture instead of a cue. OK?

My analogy for *your* behavior was rolling an old lady in the shopping mall parking lot.

Anytime someone wants to gamble, and raise the bet, and they are 3x7, I can care less what the outcome is.

You said he wanted to play for $80 a rack and then you said race to 10.

Did I misread that? Or were you playing a race to 10 and at the end each rack won gets $80? So you would get 8 x $80 = $640 for the set.

That's a new one on me.

Go Bishop!

Where do these people get off ragging on you one moment and then reading old roadies posts and being in awe? Do they honestly think these roadies played their A games against every person they ran across and those people continued to lose what they lost? I don't know if I can recall a single outburst from anyone regarding the "billionaire" (or was it millionaire) hustle.

You want honesty? Enter a damn tournament..
You want to gamble with people whose speed you don't know? Then don't come crying when you lose.

You want to drain people that are upping the bet after each loss? You need to think twice before accepting that proposition.. because if they ARE doing it honestly, you'd just be a scumbag taking advantage of someone, right? (I don't think that, but that's the same criticism that was made.)

I could really care less if anyone finds this offensive, but he found someone trying to shark him and the shark got landed. You expect a fight? Maybe you look up to the knuckleheads in the bars that'll fight over a 50-cent game. Who knows, but I certainly don't care.

Good for you, Bishop, good for you! :)

I can and will vouch for Bishop. I completed a great transaction with the guy, hassle free. Everyone on the high almighty, hollier then thou trip needs to lighten up.
We all play the same game and I am willing to bet, 99% of you have "gambled" on the game at some point in your life one way or another.

My advice to you Ryan is this, Don't Feed The Trolls!:)

The "story" was meant to read race to 10 at 80 bucks a rack.

I do appreciate the kind words for some of the stand up guys here. I am myself a trustworthy guy to do business with as well as a good portion of the posters here like Sore_Aintya.

I was playing in a Tournament the other Night. Between Matches a Guy ask if I Gamble? He apparently was looking for Action. I politely said No, as I could afford to loose no more than the $7.00 Tournament Entry FEE.

I never Gamble more than i can afford to loose, and NEVER GAMBLE with TOTAL STRANGER. Yes I Play for Money with Friends for 25 CENTS a Game...INFREQUENTLY....

Very important points PoolSleuth, myself love to play for money but i don't gamble money i don't have or can't afford to lose. And taking some strangers money here is a bad idea some people are crazy :D never know what they will do LOL.
