I really don't know how to post photos in here, not the biggest computer user.

I am the original owner of a Bert Schrager cue he built for me in the late 70's probably around 77. He use to have a shop on Magnolia blvd. between vineland and cahuenga. It has sat in storage since about 1981.

If I remember right it is 20oz with a solid Rosewood handle ivory joint, simple maple/black micarta (?) square detail rings, green spot linen wrap.
2 maple shafts, 14mm draw shafts so I could break with it.

If you e-mail me I can send photos, I don't know how to post them in here.

I saw one similar over at chalkers.com with a stained birdseye maple handle, similar detail, sold for 850.00.

It has no marks/signature from Bert, but he did make it.

thanks
Chuck D.

Has all of Bert's features!! You can send him pics of it and he will authenticate it for you with a letter. If you want his email or phone # send me a PM.

Chuck,

Nice cue - I have a similar cue from Bert - got mine in 1978
- solid Ebony with 4 large ivory diamonds in butt sleeve.

My cue has exactly the same joint rings - tho mine is a steel,
make that Nickel Silver joint. Same butt cap also.

FWIW - he told me on the phone he didn't use the "by Schrager" sig till
81 - 82

BTW those ferrules are indeed the old yellow Micarta.

He must like poolhustler more than he likes me, I tried for
a year to get a letter.

Dale,

I have letters and pictures for all of my Schragers !!

Email me pics/specs, etc.. and next time I make the drive to visit Bert & Pat I will see if I can get you an authentication on his letter head.

My email is: poolhustler@verizon.net

sincerely,

Russ.....

I do not know the actual value, BUT over at chalkers.com a schrager cue that looked exactly like mine, save for a birdseye maple where I have solid rosewood, sold for $850.00.

I do not want to try to gouge, and also do not want some to try to steal it.

Make a decent offer if you want a vintage 30yr old schrager.

maybe we can make a deal.
