Jay,

If you believe in karma, you may know that sarcasm, judging and bad mouthing others and especially threats to your sisters and brothers wont do very good for you.

Take care of yourself my friend.

Well, I'll tell you one thing, the SILENCE in recent times is deafening. :(

Onward and upward, Tournament Soldiers, and may the New Year be better than 2005. 2006 was a nice ride while it lasted!

That's because they're NOT an IPT player but an IPT troll. Look at their past posts. If they're not an employee, they're definitely being given a bone by someone to come on here and sing the praises of the IPT.

It's Clear That You Have No Clue. I do not come to this forum to bash anyone, not even you. I merely visit to view others opinions and to occasionally state mine, and to receive good information. This place can be informing and entertaining sometimes, but why you continue to attack me and you don't even know me... Well, that makes me just as clueless as you. I am an IPT player and I have been playing pool longer than you are old.

It's too bad that you feel that way and since your quote is basically to attack and discredit me I felt compelled this time to defend myself. I've done that, and now I am no longer concerned about what you think of me.

That's a good answer yes.

Still, we should always remember that to see it like it really is, to see the reality with all the sides and aspects from all the dimensions, one really should be a saint. It's not possible otherwise.
Now, it is always only a comparative opinions through relative minds, and when we forget the fact stated above, we also forget the humbleness and karma occurs.

Karma is not there to punish us, but to guide us to be more centered in our lives and higher in our (at this point, Spiritual) evolution.

And not a co-incidence I think, that those saints are always masters of diplomacy also, and they are the ones to achieve the most with the least amount of effort..

Heh, I don't even dream to be like Abraham Lincoln was, but I watch a lot of Efren Reyes..

(To learn even a fraction of his greatness, I watch even more inside..)

Peace,

M

Here's what I do know... you don't have the gumption to stand behind anything you say. You came on here doing nothing but touting the IPT and then you went behind the scenes and sent Eydie Romano NUMEROUS harrassing emails.

You're not an IPT player, you're an IPT shill. If nothing else, at least you're probably getting paid.

Technically, I suppose anyone who entered a qualifier can make a half baked claim to be an IPT player. Whether they are on KT's accounts payable list is entirely different.

I interpreted his claim as being the former.

This whole IPT thing is gonna get uglier before it get's prettier.

Poet;

It does not have to get ugly if reason prevails.
It is obvious that the promoter offered too much money to the players. If I was a player I would consider that for the amount of money offered I was not much of a draw. (For whatever reason I did not earn my pay.) Realizing this and trying to be fair I would try to meet the promoter in the middle instead of trying to destroy him with debt. Sometimes being fair is better than a long court case. I doubt that there would be a line of promoters standing to take his place if you go for the jugular.
Any other ideas on how to end this?

Very true.

The thing is that I believe that if KT had confidence in his original plan, this thing would still be going forward. I don't think it was a grand conspiracy to cheat the players, but it is obvious he lost faith in the plan and shorting the prize money was an option that would only have been considered if ending the entire effort was a serious consideration.

From a pool fan's perspective, anything less that a sincere attempt from KT to get this thing up and running again will no only be met with ugly criticism, but a steady stream of reports on the legal efforts of the players to collect what is deservably theirs will be dripping out day after day for who knows how long. Even if new tournament announcements are made, there is still going to be a boatload of mistrust and skepticism and old wounds are going to reopen just like they were before Reno.

KT is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't and he only has himself to blame for the way he has handled things. There's really not much anyone else can do about it.

WOW, what an incredibly ignorant statement.

The players did EXACTLY what was asked of them. They showed up, dressed up, and played great pool! KT was the one that PROMISED to fund two yrs out of his own pocket, regardless of what happened.

IMO, KT thought this was going to be a get rich quick scheme, just like everything else he does. He figured he would dress the players up, put on tournaments in nice venues with large prize funds, and make pool as popular as poker overnight. He probably figured his name would bring in big sponsors. When that didn't happen (he would've been better off leaving his name out of it but his ego won't allow such things), he bailed. Just like he's bailed on every adventure he started in the past when people started figuring him out. When the big money sponsorship didn't come like he thought it would, he realized he was stuck funding this himself and he didn't like it. So, here we are today... still wondering what the real story is and left with nothing but guesses. The above scenario is just my guess based on what I know of his past endeavors.

Timberly,

You made a pretty well educated guess. That's it in a nutshell.

Well, I am sure glad that you addressed that. My fingers were getting ready to take off on my little keyboard here, but you spared me the grief. It was, in fact, not only an "incredibly ignorant statement," but it is a slam to all those pool players who attended the events.

One thing for sure, the offending poster sure did pick the right name to call him- or herself on this forum!

AMEN!!

We truly think alike Timberly!!! No wonder we got along so well...lol! We could have stayed up all night at the DCC talking about this......but I probably would've had to get drunk so my Korean temper would come out...lol.....I get heated just thinking of the whole ordeal.

I wish you guys would've been there. :( Alex entertains so well and I know you would've kept me company all week. ;)

I had to venture out in the cold today to get some food for the house and I stopped and got the latest issue of "Details" magazine to see the article J.D. Dolan did on the IPT fiasco. Without giving out any details, I'll just say that you should get drunk before you read the part where he interviews KT... Everytime KT opens his mouth, he not only contradicts EVERYTHING he said in Orlando but he makes a bigger ass out of himself (I didn't think that was possible) each time.

Timberly <--- hopes she's present the day KT ever decides to show his face at a pool tournament or pool room.

Please excuse me if this is a redundant question but I haven't seen it brought up yet (at least not in this post). Where has the KT trusted sidekick, Mike Sigel been throughout this IPT collapse. Has he made any public statements etc.. as to his views of what might happening. It is a darn shame that the players have time and time again been given a glimmer of hope in these various tours only to be used and kicked to the curb. Thank God for the regional tours like Joss and Tiger (any others) that keep the players going.

But good luck on getting an answer. I asked this a couple of times on other threads but got no answers. I just know I have attended a couple of DCC events and Mike has always been there selling cues. But I guess he was conveniently a no show this year. It would be interesting to know whats been up with him and why he did not attend.

The last I heard was on November 5th....

First of all MS did not make PHONE CALLS. It was brought up at an event he did with other players, some have already sold 10% of themselves. MS said IF YOU NEED YOUR MONEY NOW I'll take 10% AND PAY YOU! He is not fishing around for KT. He wants the best for the players. Get that through your head! He came out of retirement after 11 years, do you think to go through this again; REASON he quit to begin with!

This person only ever posted about MS and was constantly defending him. We figured it was him and once people started questioning him, he quit posting.

As you can see, the last anyone has admitted to seeing him was the end of Oct when he was offering to buy people out... conveniently right before KT offered up his percentage deal... things that make you go hmmm...

I don't think it's going to be this next one. :( I had a car wreck right after Thanksgiving and have been using a friends car since then. I'm actually going to fly down to SC to get a car and right now it looks like Feb is going to be the best time to do it. The money I would've had for the hotel will go towards my flight down there. After next month, when is the next one?
