Why?
No such thing. Something B. Meucci made up. Kinda like J.Jones calling force-follow off the rail a 'hydraulic'. Don't think either one has/had a clue.Hydraulic ferrule ... Why?
But it doesn't really work like that, right? I mean there's always two or three layers exposed and sometimes there's that sharp gap between them. That's what doesn't make sense. No mushroom and as one layer starts to wear another one forms.
Been using them since Moori's first hit and i've NEVER had one issue with glue lines/gaps. Never. Ultraskins are the best deal out there, 10 for 30bux and the play/last great. I still like a good Triangle but you might go thru five to get one decent one.But it doesn't really work like that, right? I guess if the anti-mushrooming is true, that's a decent reason.

The reason i am using a layered tip is consistency.

What they said (especially the Ultraskins part).I wouldn’t put a 1 piece tip on my cue again if it was free. The layered tips are way better.
Most people dislike it.Does a bit of mushrooming make a difference?
