Actually...the problem with LePros began with The Color Of Money. I did an awful lot of tips during that era. Before, I'd find one or 2 bad ones out of 50, if that. I'd place them on the flat of a metal vise and tap them lightly 20 times or so with a hammer then install and shape them. They'd mushroom either not at all or almost imperceptibly and last a year or so. Held their crowns well too. Played great as well. Then with the surge in pool after the movie they must have changed the manufacturing process to bang them out and meet the demand. I was lucky to find 2-3 good ones in a box of 50 after that.
