Trying to figure out what led light to use on my Gold Crown 4 . I have seen 3 2x2 panels ,2x4 panels .I wonder about hight 31in ?Lumins 4000-5000? color? Any tried and proven suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

I have a GC 3 that I hung a 2x4 led flat panel over. It works great, lights the whole table with no problem. It is at a height of 55” or 56”. The internet has several at a little over a hundred. There is also some body on AZ selling them at a much higher price. Just depends on how comfortable you are doing it yourself.

I did some research and like all electronics (led tvs, lights, etc) you get what you pay for.
What you want is an even disbursement of light and the same height all with the same lumens. So getting a couple of panels from home depot would certainly work but would they function evenly, and be framed/installed at exactly the same height and level?
On a 9 foot table anywhere at 4 feet above the surface is ideal.

I went with Lite-Systems because not only are the lights tested and sent with the toughest frame to house all the panels, but Feng becomes your personal light counselor and will guide you through any questions, comments, or concerns regarding the install and choice of light.

I have the FiN Ext 8 foot four panel LED installed over my 9 foot gold crown because I anticipate switching to a 10 foot table soon. There is more than enough light and they are all calibrated and set at 5000 lumens (day light)

I'm also going to order a second light for a 9 foot table, and probably will go with the Fin Wide.....

The light was sent with everything I needed for the install, as well as the steel cables to suspend the light. Feng will send the right application according to what your overhead is that you are looking to mount to.

Do you know the Kelvin rating?

9 ft GCIII in the basement, put two 1'x4' LED panels end to end, makes like a 1'x8' panel. Covers table very well. Each 4000 Lumen, color temp 4000K, input watts 50W. Bright white color. Attached to the rafter joists. Works great. Got at Home Depot, I think the brand is Commercial Electric.

My GC IV has two 2 x 2 Cree LED Flat Panels 3400 Lumens, 5000k spaced 20" apart on center 52" from slate. I couldn't ask for any more light.

ill never go back

ive had em over bar boxes, and I now have 2, 1 by 4 ft at 40 inches high, daylight over a 5 by 10 Brunswick snooker table gives plenty of light for me.

I went with a 2x4 LED Flat Panel from fellow AZB member: beneath_the_sur's

Here's the important thins to know:
  • all flat panel LEDs are not created equal
  • you get what you pay for.

Here's a pic of my table. Yes, you will have more light in the middle of the table & less at the ends, BUT, that doesn't mean the light at the ends of the table is inadequate.
I have a Diamond Table with a matching Diamond light at home & I can tell you the light from the Flat Panel LED light Rich sold me blows away the Diamond light.
Search through the site, Richard has many fans. You will be beyond overjoyed if you go with Richard.

In the following thread there's a lot of discussion on flat panel LED lighting and the importance of LED refresh rate: http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=457610

My plan, right or wrong, is 4 two-tube (ballast-less) shop lights (8 four-foot tubes) mounted to the 7' ceiling and 8 led tubes. With a "box" built around them and diffusers like the diamond lights have at the bottom. My concern is if it will be TOO much light.
