Lee didn't make it to the Open in time to play but he has sure been busy since he arrived.

A lot of people have taken notice of him and his unique style of playing pool.

CSI has taken him under their wing.

OB Cues has started a relationship with him.

Inside Pool Magazine has done a big video with him showcasing his unique talents.

WOW! I can hardly wait for him to pass through my town. I will have my lesson with elbow dropping and one stroke shooting as well as the special grip with which he holds his cue. The V, I think he called it...

While he was there, after his video production, people were watching him and asking for his autograph. I guess they saw something they liked.

Anyway, glad to see some positive things happening for such a talented guy.

That's a whole lot of good stuff to happen in such a short period of time.

Good Luck Lee!

Full deck or not, it's kind of neat to see someone break all the "rules" and still get the job done. It just shows that there is never any one "right" way for everybody.

Roger

Absolutely right Roger, which means that the 'elbow drop' is a choice, not a necessity. The most accurate way of delivering the cue will always be a pendulum stroke. That certainly doesn't mean that the delivery can't be made other ways...as is shown by Lee Brett.

I don't think fundamentals are what the other posters were referring to. But anyway... Good luck to him. Always seemed like a nice guy to me, but I must say I respect TK alot and if he says the deck is short, it prob is...

he is on my "nice guy" list

Lee has been very kind and helpful when I had questions. He is on my nice guy list until and unless something major happens to change that.

We can all learn at least a little something from someone that has run as many 147's as he has, I'll be there if he comes pretty close this way. The best stroke is the one that gets the job done for that individual. I'm always willing to study and understand one more.

I seealot of potential In Lee Brett. He has something different and there are quite a few pro players that are interested in whathe has and how it may be able tohelp them. Like in another post 147s are not east tocome by so the guy has something. Ithink we will see over the next year when he gets to play some us tourneys too what he does. We have agreed to help him on his journey and see where it leads. Please do as Iam doing and at least give the guy a chance. I remembernot too long ago getting flamed because I wanted to take top pros on the road to do schools and exhibitions.

He was given the chance

I hear where you're coming from and all but HE HAD HIS CHANCE in my home town. He did what he did and abused his oppurtunities here. He is also an APA 6 at best. And I've seen him play snooker on the 5x10 we have here...147 is about 100 out of his range. This is not flaming him, just a statement of fact. He did some shitty things to a good friend and a person who was helping him out so as far as I'm concerned he should stay the hell away from here. I'd listen to the other posters here man. This will not turn out well for you...

Also

Columbia SC is not exactly a strong pool town but he was not even in the top 10 here which basically means he'd have trouble making money on campus, much less in a pool-room. I mean really is this guy that good at talking to convince you all that he knows something? WOW!!

He didn't convince me of anything before he was suspended. I was not impressed by anything he said before or since.

Talk is cheap but Lee was able to perform on demand for somebody else to shoot video. Also, I have no reason to doubt his credentials in his sig are real. If they are he is a fairly elite level cueist in anyone's book.

I happen to be the only 100% perfect person on this forum so I don't waste too much time worrying about skeletons in other people's closets. Ultimately Lee's deeds will tell the story and the people supporting him aren't pilgrims, obviously they see something.

You guys do what u want but as much as I hate to do it I'll def be saying I told u so very soon. I've never met Joey Aguzin but i've listened to his commentary and know a couple people that've been around him and have alot of respect for him. This is the main reason I ever said the first thing in this thread. I'm just trying to look out for someone who has a great rep on here. I don't know alot of you personally and for that I'm sorry but this guy is disturbed! Skeletons in the closet is one thing but I'd trust a starving-crackhead before this guy. Do what you will with the words I typed here and believe me or not. This is just me trying to look out for all of you at the expense of 1 person, Think about that for a second.

I have no more to say here and if I've offended anyone(other than LB) I apologize.

Don't really know...

That boy is not playing with a full deck. Stay clear of him. Just a word of advice.

I don't know either one of you but there are always 2 sides to every story... I met Lee and I wish him the best. He has a lot of potential. I look forward to seeing more of his teaching technique.

Omega Cues hooked him up with a case!! Lee wanted me to pass on thanks to Michael Hoang.....

Please take a look at the videos in this thread:

Two questions:

1. Is the person you are talking about the person who is shooting in those videos? I.e., is everyone talking about the same "Lee Brett"?

2. Do you believe that the skill level of the person shooting in those videos would be "APA 6 at best" and able to run no more than 47 in snooker?

just to be clear

Just to be clear, I wasn't talking about your words when I said talk was cheap. I was talking about anyone's including mine and Lee's too for that matter. The proof is in the deeds. So far I have been impressed with Lee's deeds. Where I went to school the saying was "Fool me once, your fault. Fool me twice, my fault."

Everybody pretty much gets one shot at getting over on me. It may cost them in the long run, it may not. Very few people ever get the second chance. My policies may seem a little funny but they have earned me the friendship and respect of both good people and not so good people. Some of my friends never saw the inside of Sunday school. As long as they treat me, my other friends, and my family right I don't judge them.

Looks like an APA six to me

Everybody knows those APA boys are some sandbagging son of a guns!!

regardless of what any video shows

I saw the guy play at least 15 hours of pool over the course of a couple months and he never showed me anything. He misses balls on a bar table for god sakes... anyway I'm starting to get suspicious that he's paid you people to stand up for him... Idk I guess what I'm getting at is that I know 5 players in this town that play in the APA and are NOT and have NEVER BEEN 7 rated players that would ROB HIM FOR ANY AMOUNT OF MONEY. Besides the people that play leagues there's at least 15 more guys that would also rob him. Only 2 of these guys are capable of cashing in the open. The rest would have real trouble breaking even with the 10-ball ghost on the bar table in any long session, some would even have NO CHANCE beating the 9-ball ghost on the bar table.
