Lee Brett's "The Secret Art of Pool" promo

I Don't Understand

This is just a comment, so don't let it bust your bag. But, why is it that you can't use this particular forum to sell a new cue, but it's okay to sell everything else under the sun related to billiards and shooting pool that is also new?

I know the author of a book isn't a cue maker, but does it make any difference?

If would seem that a new cue, a piece of chalk, a book, a DVD, they're all goods being offered for sale. As such, shouldn't all this stuff be subject to the same Forum rules?

I'm just asking....

Take care,

John

I liked it. I read his book and will be one of your first buyers when it's done.

I think he presents his material well. He comes across strong and confident just like his lessons teach. I liked the part when he's long on a leave and says "just come to the table as if this is the shot you've been given". << This totally keeps your emotions in check.

Just like in golf, if you hit a bad shot and take it to the next shot, you're not fully present to make another shot.

Mark,

I liked it. Especially the psych aspect of the game. It may sound obvious, but few players use that method. Aiming I liked as well...

Thanks!

Paul

Many have questioned such things, though it is probably best to either pick an existing thread of that topic or start a new one.

Well I finally got this Promo put together for Lee's DVD.
The DVD is in final review now and should be ready in a couple of weeks.
Please give me feedback...
Thanks

Very good. The book was an okay but it desperately needed a visual element and this dvd seems to take that material and put it to video very well.

The thing that holds many instructional dvd's back is the camera work. Good video angles to see the player and shot. Personally, I always dig the overhead shots as they add so much to the picture.:)

My only criticism is, tell him to use an American accent so I can understand him better :groucho:

Put me down for one! Since I've gotten back into the game I have been questioning everything that I am doing in the Fundamentals area. Although my game is coming back and improving quickly it would be nice to see how someone of Lee's caliber teaches these basic aspects of the game.

The prohibition on the sale of new items (including cues) in the Wanted/For Sale Forum was lifted three weeks ago. Here are the current rules: http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=264464

Just as I thought it would be! Lee speaking quickly, enthusiastically and shooting bullets into the pockets. The way I see it, he'll give up a couple of hours of top notch info in one hour of speaking. Such a deal!

I'll take one as soon as they're available.

Best,
Mike

You are right about the fast talking. The video is about 2 hrs and 23 minutes right now, non stop... I had a hard time determining what to cut from the original 4 hours of finished video.
A lot of the promo is what I cut from the DVD, there just wasn't room, but we wanted the information out there, so we gave it away.

The dvd looks great. How much is it going to cost?

I do not know yet, all of the videos I do are priced by the Instructor.
It is their knowledge, I just help get it out, they set the price.
Lee will have to answer that.

By the end of the DVD you will think you are english!
Actually it does make you pay attention, and he has a great style.

That's one heck of an intro.. Almost 15 minutes long! Looks like it would be quite informative!

The promo looks excellent. His style of coaching clicks with me. The positive attitude advice is key too! I'll be one of the first to buy the dvd. Just wonder if I'd need the book as well?

Great job Mark and Lee, if what we saw in this clip is what was chosen to be taken out I can only imagine how good the stuff is that was left in. Again, good job fellas.

He may have a package deal, but I am not sure at his point.
The DVD is based on the book, we tried to cover the book and expand on it.

Glad people like the promo, Mark has done a great job

Sorry about the accent, seems stronger than i thought it was on the DVD. I will try and learn the deep south accent for the future so people can understand me better Hey ya'llllllllll

The DVD will be $50, and i will try and do a book and DVD deal in the near future once i'm settled with all my travelling to order so many books to send with the DVD..

Regards Lee

Nice job guys. I have no problem understanding with the accent, and don't think many others will either. I like the concept of "my yard." ;)
