The Legends and Champions Pool Tour hits the South

Johnny (The Scorpion) Archer and Earl (The Pearl) Strickland will be hitting the road again in January 2009 with the Legends and Champions Pool Tour.
?Both Johnny and Earl are excited to visit some of their old stomping grounds in The South and they are really happy that I didn?t have them going to Alaska in January? Said Mark Cantrill AKA ?T-Wheels?
Unfortunately this leg of the tour will be a little shorter than usual due to Johnny and Earl?s hectic schedule at the end of December 2008 with the Mosconi Cup and late January 2009 but we are going to fit in as many pool schools as possible and make sure that everyone has a great time at the exhibitions.

During the Exhibition, Earl will perform Trick Shots, Stroke Shots and tell stories, Johnny will play a mini challenge match against the local House Pro or local Champion at each venue. There will also be chances to play on either team Archer or Team Strickland in a rack of scotch doubles. We pair up two spectators one with Johnny and one with Earl. Of course there is always the chance to have your cue signed or a picture with two Legends and Champions of the sport.

The Pool school has not changed, we still only allow a maximum of 12 students per class. We then divided the group into 2 groups of 6. One of the groups of 6 will work with Earl Strickland for 2 hours and the other group will work with Johnny Archer for 2 hours. After 2 hours they will switch and work with the other pro for the last 2 hours of the 4 hour school. The fee for this once in a lifetime opportunity is only $200.00 per person, if you would like to attend one of the pool schools or know someone who would appreciate it as a Christmas gift please either call Mark Cantrill at 480-612-7732 or email to Cantrillmark@yahoo.com Please include your full name, location you wish to attend and a cell# for confirmation.

Great sounds like it is Macon for me ...I usually travel up there once a month to play in thier tournament on the third week of the month .... The tourny is set for December 20 th of this month ... And Chelly said they are suppose to be having a Low Country Boil for the players ... That would be this up coming weekend @ 3:00 pm sharp .... I hope y'all don't mind me plugging The Hole Thang's tourny while I bump the thread ... And look for me at the pool school in January ... I'm sending a email now so I can get in on the fun... For those that don't know where it is in that little shopping center you can't miss thier truck in the parking lot ... But thier door is easy to miss it is just a single door and no big store front because The Hole Thang is all under ground but a pretty big place ...

Thank you ... Looking forward to it ...

Yea when I read old stomping grounds I automatically assumed a stop in NC because after all it is considered The South

How about this for "old stomping grounds"?

I had heard this rumor but Mark finally confirmed it as being the truth after speaking with Earl.

When Earl was around 10 years old, his family lived in Macon, Ga. for a short time. He lived right down the street from an underground bowling alley (that would eventually become The Hole Thang) and learned to beat balls around in the pool room inside the bowling alley.

Well Earl is coming back Jan 5th & 6th for the exibition and pool school, will be the first time in prob 35 years he has been back to the room. We plan on having a nice surprise for him when he comes. Trying to get the local paper to get involved with the story.

Oh yeah: there is a low country boil this Saturday 12.20.08 for the tournament. Food is FREE for the players as always....but get here early, we are only boiling about 100 gallons of food!!!! ha ha....

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
