It was maybe 30 years ago,but it seems like yesterday. I was traveling here and there when Verl Horn called with an opportunity for fast cash ,good conersation, exciting escapades

we had had a good time until i left him imn moreland Oklahoma. I decided tp stop in oklahoma City on the way home, afterall I had a bankrolli could flash and bust Fat randy if he got out of line

Well Randy wasn't to be found, home in Tulsa and i got in something that looked esasy and one thing led to another until I insisted we raise the bet,i wasn't too worried when I lost the first few i wold just adjust until i won everything in Oklahoma

When I cam home broke my wife says"wheres the money?"
I lost says I

Sam *said Verl and you made a big score( Verl's wife Sam)

I know but I made a sop in Oklahoma
And you lost everything ,the whole $20,000 and change

Yep

How
Well i played the Bushwacker

and you thought he got that name in Sunday school

No dear, i didn't learn that till later

And it didnt occur to you to ask

Aw hun,I can't ask every stranger I meet,"are you the bushwacker?

Why didn't you quit when you lost a ittle?
That's the question, but i thought I would adjust and jack the bet like I always do

Apparently not always

and so went my instructions

It doesn't pay to lose

.........

And you lost everything ,the whole $20,000 and change?

Yep

How?

Well i played the Bushwacker.

And you thought he got that name in Sunday school??

No dear, i didn't learn that till later.

Aw hun, I can't ask every stranger I meet, "Are you the bushwacker?"

I am still laughing at this!!!!

(Hope you don't that I edited it some with punctuation.)

the Bushwacker is probably still telling the story!

The Bushwacker is probably still telling the story of manna falling from heaven! We have all been in those games that were too good to quit, until we didn't have a choice!
