I Love the look of the Yellow Veneer.

Right now i am thinking of Ebony Fore-arm, with Snake-wood Points with the Yellow and White veneers. i think yellow on the outside with white on the inside.

I am also gonna get a Spiney Back lizard wrap.

Anyone else have more pics, or suggestions ?

Thanks
Steve

You look just like him. ;)

What camera are you using? Tripod?

Funny thing is that just a week ago you were asking Nick Serdula how Scrugg's cues play....

.. going to make some popcorn ..

The guy at the expo was on the right track. Mike makes most of the Scruggs cues now. The chance of even seeing Tim at the shop is very rare. Myself and a couple buddies recently had or are having Scruggs cues made and Mike is doing 100% of the work. The wait time is not long at all depending on how much you want done. Price wise you are looking at a starting point of $2000. So if you are buying a Scruggs then Mike will be building it. Just take him some Vodka!!

Would you like to bet me 10K Mr H?

You are very wrong. Timi hasn't been available reciently by choice but when he answers the phone I always say WTF are you doing there? You are retired and we laugh. I wish I could explain but as with most know it alls you know too much. At least you think you do.
They build cues together. Always have and always will. You remind me of when a friend of mine that was a chiropractic doctor told me flat out years ago some guy named Danny Tibbits was making all Timi's sneakies.
I know personally that Jeff built them for years and Timi and Mike never heard of Danny or had a clue who he was when I asked them. Jeff built them damn things in the shop for years and years practically straight out of high school. I used to talk to him all the time.
I have heard Timi has his own forest and that is how his shaft wood is practically not even on the same planet as other builders.
As much as Timi has struggled these last couple years to not retire it bust my balls whenever I hear anyone say Mike builds all Timi's cues by himself.
There would have to be at least two Mike's and 35 hours in a day for him to complete half of what he get's credit for on this forum lately.
And almost every time it is always no shock to find out either they or one of their friends is selling a Scruggs cue that Timi built and you better buy it because you know Timi hasn't made any cues since he built this one!

Nick :)
Forgot, you are right about one thing. Vodka!

I have more than a few PM's about Timi and Mike

Timi is fine. I will say that if Timi were in bad health I would be the one saying buy my sticks.
It is kind of like someone calling you gay. All you can say is I aint gay! The more you say you aint gay the less you are believed!
I would profit more than most anyone on the news of Timi's retirement. He is not retired. He is spending more time than in the past with his family. That is why there are less and less TS cues produced each year.
Also about Jeff. Jeff is who made TS sneakies for many years in Timi's shop and I will say will never be replaced. Mike and Timi were thinking of putting this information on their web sight because they feel the work he did over the years deserves credit and also to put a end to all the hear say about who built their sneakies. They were built on premisis on Timi's equitment set up for the sneakies for Jeff.
Like Rainbow told me a few years back, they will never find anyone to replace the work Jeff was doing. Timi or Mike could easily do the same work. They never had time. Too buisy building customs like this one.
After this is a show me thread. I sold this to a friend. One pocket Mike Surber! This one I miss!

I thought Bob Frey and Tim did the sneakies together. Jeff who? Is he still making cues? Why did he stop? Is Jeff Bob Frey? Is Frey's real name Bob? And who is this (sneaky) Pete? Is Pete Jeff's son or Bobs son? Is Cochran an FBI agent? Is Tim an alien? Are Bob sneaky jeff cochran pete cues made by Tim or have I just lost my mind?!?!?

Jeff worked for Timi

He never built cues. He did the sneakies. He is not a cue builder. Sneakies don't require much once everything is set up for them. Jeff just did a great job.
Bob Frey builds Frey cues. They have a F logo. He used to be Timi's partner. They built all the cues together when they were partners. Bob wasn't delegated to sneakies ever. Timi and Bob worked together on all cues produced in the TS shop.
Because Timi will never build another sneakie Bob is the only person on the planet that is doing the sneakie cue that was being built in the TS shop only because he did sneakies and custom work together with Timi for years and is still a very close friend of Timi's.
If you buy a old worn out TS sneakie you would do much better for yourself to buy something new from Mr Bob. J.P. Nuesbaum is his retailer @ cuesnthings. Here are a couple more Scruggs cues and a Cochran!

Steve, I've owned and seen a lot of TS cues over the years and your cue is my favorite over all of Tim's cues that i've seen. Every time you post pictures of it I think the same thing "this is my favorite TS cue".

James

My personal favorite "Timmy"

James,

I agree that Steve's Scruggs is a very unique design and one of the nicest I have seen but I keep coming back to Icon2's golden Scruggs. Something about this cue just screams "awesome player" to me. Pictured Below.

Jeff's cue is too much! Jay has the mind blower of all mind blowers. Come on Mr B show us some candy!

Jeff Wolfe

He never built cues. He did the sneakies. He is not a cue builder. Sneakies don't require much once everything is set up for them. Jeff just did a great job.

I sold many here in Hawaii.. At one time, it was the hottest Cue
and sought after here..
