Lenny,

The cue in the OP of this thread has boar skin wrap on it, no one answered you so i figure you forgot or might have found out. but in case you didnt its boar i'm 90% sure from what I can tell from the pics.

I have a Jerry-r- the only beef I have with the cue is when he sprayed it he didnt have the cue clean. Its ebonyon ebony with green veneers and there is a ton of black specs in the veneers, on the veneers on the butt of the cue they are clean and look much better. I dont know if the cue can be refinished without taking it down to skinny to get rid of the impregnated black dust on the bright green veneers, Cue plays Great and is very well made. But I surewish the pointswere clean.

best

i think it was just a fluke. wth a refinish and some new 220 youd be suprised hot fast them veneers come clean. you wont loose much. not even noticeable with new finish

You are right FB it might be boar skin. However, it also looks a little like perforated pig skin to me as well. Close up pictures would probably help finitely identify the leather type.

Nice cues everyone, I have never had the pleasure of hitting one of Jerry's cues.

Take Care and have a wonderful New Year everyone.

Here is a closeup of the wrap, just went outside and took a couple pics, wow what a difference the light outside makes.

-R- cues stashed away for those rainy days (<:

Here are a few -R-'s tucked away. These couple are full spliced. All white is ivory. More to come.

I'll try and dig out a few more this weekend to show off Mr. Jerry's array of Szamboti. Balabushka, Palmer, Paradise, Brunswick model 26 1/2, SouthWest, and Harvey Martin tributes; and Jerry's "Points of Perfection" traditional 4 point 4 veneer cues.

Szamboti Tribute barbell 8 point, all white is ivory. All Jerry's work is done in his one-man-shop without the use of CNC, hand done pantograph inlays, hand cut short splice forearm, and his own hand made ivory/ebony ringwork.

More good eats.

John
