Let's See Your Jerry Rauenzahn Cues!

Rauenzahn

Here is one of my Rauenzahns. I have known Jerry for over 25 years. I have been shooting with one of his cues ever since my father had him make one for me whenever I was 4. I own the ebony and Ivory cue on his website. I recently had a ring tailed lizard wrap put on the cue.

My Rauenzahn

Here is a very special Rauenzahn that he and I worked on designing. This is the cue that is shown on his website. The only difference is that he recently put on a ringtailed lizard wrap. The wrap does a great job bringing together the ebony and ivory. I have been shooting with a rauenzahn cue ever since I was 4 years old. My father and Jerry have been friends for over 25 years and had a custom cue made for me for christmas that year. I appologize if the pictures are a tad blurry. They do not do any justice in showing the craftmanship and precision in the inlays.

I've just received my first -R- cue. Waited for a bit. Even though it was sent Aug 29th. Customs got ahold of it. What can I say? Jerry was a joy to work with. Got all my specs in and it came out great!!

Purpleheart Titlist fullspliced limited #28. Piloted Ivory collar. Stitch rings. Ivory Hoppe. Ivory ferrules. Bumperless. Weight is perfect and balance point is dead on. Shaft tapers are nice and long.

Turn around time was about 4 months. Progress pics help the wait along the way. Played for about 5 hrs last night. The thing hits awesome. Super solid but cush'd by the ferrule and joint. Love it. I think it might hit too hard for my liking if I had opted for the SS joint. Whew... good thing.

Will post pics later and start my own thread. But wanted to say thanks to all that have posted in this thread. It helped me decide to get an -R-!!

Congrats on the new cue and look forward to seeing the pics of it, mine is currently having some engraving work done on the ivory windows and cant wait to see how it comes out. I hope Jerry sells a few more cues because of all the beauties posted in this thread. :)

I've had several, all very good. This the only one I have left in my collection as it was my favorite of the bunch. Desert Ironwood into Curly Koa.
