Lets show off some Hoppe style cues

what about this one....? And the last one is made from a hoppe so I figured I'd show a peek of it. Both cues are former cues of mine and have found new homes. Both played excellent and were by far some of my best playing cues I've ever held in my hands.

Very nice cue here . Thats the classic Butt that Jimbo was talking about. Hoping to have a Buss one day:D

Like these.

Thanks for the post Jim. I've seen a couple real old, early 1900 cues that were flat off like that. Certainly makes them different from the rest. I like It.

I know there are many different ways to define cues, as stated by Fred in the SP thread. But IMO a Hoppe cue has not only an Ivory ring, but it should not have a bumper. But again I'm sure people will define it in different ways.

Jim
I'm with that. I also think the screw head defines much of the look.

Fred <~~~ can't have a Hoppe butt cuz it'll smash when I get frustrated

Probably just semantics, but I've always kind of thought that cues with "hoppe" butts could either have a bumper or not.....but to me a "rambow" butt would always not have one. Seems that the two have kind of become interchangeable to most.

Anyhow here are a few ones we've had or have:

here is my Mottey with the hoppe ring..

i would be afraid to damage the bottom on a cue with no rubber on it also.. doesnt mean i wont ever own one.. i will have one some day..
