TIP COVERS


I just got a new case. I wanted to find tip covers to place over the tip and ferrule of my shafts to keep the chalk remnants from marking up the inside of my case.


I have seen custom made covers before.

Please let me know of whats out there or if someone has a quick fix to my problem I would appreciate the information!

I just usually use a paper towel to wipe off my shaft and tip.
Hate having extra stuff to misplace.
Some people turn cue upside town and turn it on the rooms carpet. Pool room owners love this>>

I usually sand off a layer from my tip so it stays clean. Although I forgot to mention I have a lifetime supply of tips and I change mine out once a week. But hey on the bright side..my case stays clean . Lol .

my solution to this problem was to go to home depot and purchase 13mm end caps in the hardware isle normally used on wooden dowels as feet. 6 for about .79 works great imho

Tip protectors...

I am using these, and they are quite good in my opinion:

They have two sizes, 11.5-12mm, and 12-13mm. You may want to insert a piece of paper towel or something into it before putting your tip in, to prevent it locking too tight on your ferrule.

It would be great if they use some material that is more elastic, though.

But if your shafts fit fairly tightly in your case, keep the tips up to make sure the cap doesn't come off down in the case.

Just turn/wipe the cue tip on the carpet on pool rooms.

Ace hardware and Home Depot have these for around $.79 Don't waste your $$ on ebay.Get the chair leg protectors at Ace or Home Depot.Don't get them too tight.I twisted a tip off once by using ones that were too tight.
Now i just wipe them off ( the tips) with a tissue and I put them in my case tip up.Hope this helps.
