Lipstick Action - Female Gamblers

Hi,

This thread is strictly all about the ladies . I know many of us guys don't take female pool players as seriously as we probably should . This is an open discussion as to which ladies have the most gamble and generate the kind of action note worthy of her male counter part ....

Now, keep in mind, I'm not talking about strong tourney players ( if they don't gamble ) I'm aware of how well Allison and Karen plays in tournaments, I'm talking about the girls that like to get in the grease and gamble!

This thread is searching for the female counterpart of a Scott Frost or a Cliff Joyner ( although she does'nt have to be a world class biter ) which ladies out there will play for the cash?

edit : I know 1000 jokes combining the words "action" and "ladies" so please try to keep the one liners to a minimum, thanx:smile:

Girls with gamble

I saw Vivian V. chase Harry Platis all over the Derby a few years ago!She wolfed hard but he wouldn't bite.

Rachel Abbink gets the female action player award hands down IMO.

Once at a WPBA stop she told this story: She was warned by the WPBA that she was not allowed to gamble during the week of the tournament. She asked what the fine was and was told $5000 and Rachel's reply was, "then I'll just have to bet $20,000".

I have heard that Jennifer Chen likes to bet it up. Sarah Rousey comes to mind. Monica Webb likes to gamble some. Vivian of course.

Holly Sholes and Kristi Carter used to be road warriors who liked to get in action if I remember correctly.

That's about all I have to offer on this topic.

Female Gamblers

Don't overlook Karen Corr. She hits the areas near her Tournaments and prior to or after them. I've seen her twice picking up the cash and she has a "To Play/Don't Play" list that she bases her bets on.
Her Money Man is a Money Woman.

Kelly Fisher beat Cliff gambling just recently according to Chris Bartum.

My wife can gamble

Last night at our local pool hall, me and the wife was playing some 8 ball and 9 ball so I could get ready for a tourney sunday night. There was an older gentleman (50yrs old) shooting next to us. He was telling his friend how much money he had won playing pool the last few weeks.. I was shooting but hanging on to every word he was saying. He was saying he played a guy for about 5 hrs and had started at 5.00-rack and had ended up at 20.00 a rack.. and he said he had won about 300.00. My wife kept looking at me like (Honey, shut this jackhole up and play him) Well, I was fixing to go over and ask if he wanted to play some "friendly:rolleyes: 5.00 a rack 9ball". Well kiss my butt if my wife asks him first. She asks him if he wants to play 9ball, 10.00 a game. Now, this is totally out of character for my wife....she has never gambled on pool.....She plays alot of people at the pool hall and they have a VERY hard time beating her...if they DO beat her...

The guy looks at me smiling like, Ok, seriously, you need to tell your sweetie she needs to sit down or I will take her money. I just look at him and say, Dont be afraid to play her cause she is a girl, beat her good and shut her up so we can go home cause she needs to fix me dinner  He just smiled at his friend and told him, Watch how you make money at pool.

Needless to say.. I got some short video clips of it and a few pictures....but after about 2hrs of his best game....although, I think he may have not been able to play his best cause he was playing a girl and really couldnt get his "A" game on  She walked out of the pool hall with 250.00:p :D I can sure tell you this...well, maybe I shouldnt say...Lets just say...I am gonna have to take her gambling more often:thumbup:

Here is a cpl pics of her in "action"

Quick note ....after about 45min....he did bump it up to 20.00 a rack...and he even took back the 7 spot he gave her and played straight up:thumbup: Heck, I was even scared to play her after the beating she gave him..she would have had to spot me the 7:D

she looks like she can play, based on those pictures the only suggestion i'd make is that she should loosen her grip on the butt . maybe lose the pinky ( don't wrap it around ) altogether, and this would give her a more smooth and fluid stroke .

But hey, whatever works for her. It looks like she's on the right track

I agree...I have been taking pictures and videoing her playing to show her some things she shoudl work on.. She seems to always go back to what seems like a death grip on the butt of the cue though..

I saw Yu Ram Cha rob Rachel Abbink playing races to 11 for $1000 each during the US Open. Yu Ram beat her two straight sets 11-5,11-5.

Then Rachel asked for the 6 ball.

Looked like she needed it.

LOL I didn't say Rachel was the best player. She is the one who likes to be in action most I think though.

nothing surprises me with cliff . that guy does more business than walmart!

I am a MILLION percent positive that Kelly wasn't part of any business that Cliff may or may not have done in their match.

If Cliff dumped then Kelly had NO PART in it.

However Kelly is liable to beat any human being on Earth in any given set. She may not be able to do it consistently but no one has to think Kelly is the 100% underdog in any single set.

She put down a seven pack in the very first tournament final matches she won in San Diego. She ran out from her break 3 times in the last three games where it was her break of one set and 4 times in the first 4 times she broke in the following set.

Kelly Fisher with some serious seasoning against top male pros would become a SERIOUS contender in any game on a pool table.
