Little Slice of heaven in Tuskaloosa,Alabama

congratulations to Harold. I hope his pool room does well. If Harold reads this, this is Dave, the guy who was your scotch doubles partner at Strokers in tampa last year.

smoking.....yucky

Hey Gino nice thread & here is wishing you success in kicking the butts.

I quit the pool scene because of radical lifestyle changes, getting straight from many addictive things - dope, gambling, cigs & alcohol. Quit all of them cold turkey.........can I say BLESSED! Brother, for me gambling was the hardest to deal with. I can tell you each time I walked by a pool room & heard the smash, it was hard babe, HARD. Thankfully & most gratefully
I've stayed clean since 1975 without any relapse. Also became a total
vegetarian at that time too - no meat, fish, fowl or eggs. If I can do that stuff you can surely stop smoking.

Leading a clean life as opposed to continuing wallowing in the extremes of a wasteful self-destructive existence is hyper-good beyond description.
Being able to make those personal life changes was the absolute best thing I could do for myself.

That is what it all comes down to..............making good decisions in life.

Wishing you well in doing that. Peace,Joy Happiness & Blessings!!!

That's exactly what I do joey!

Gene,

You are a LONG way from home.

When you are on the road like this, DO YOU GIVE POOL LESSONS when you are traveling? I mean can someone just give you a jingle and ask you to stop at their town and give them a lesson on Perfect Aim?

What is the phone number for them to reach you for a pool lesson?

In fact I have one at noon today. Then i have one immediately after that and then one tonight.

I hope if any AZer sees this to give me a call that wants to learn Perfect Aim.

Last night I taught a young gal that said she couldn't play on the 9 footer. By the time we were done she had changed her mind. Her husband was all smiles. His lesson is today.

I'm here for 4 more days but it looks like I might have to stay longer. It never fails. More players tell more players and the days get filled up with lessons and it just keeps growing. Boy this is fun.

Got to go. Need to be giving a lesson soon.

For the Perfect aim lesson while I'm in Birmingham/Tuskaloosa area call me at 715-563-8712.

I promise if you want to learn I'll get to you somehow if your close.

Have a great day everyone. geno............

If anyone at that room happens to run into Marshall Carpenter, tell him Frank the barber from California says thanks for sending me his autograph. He will understand. thanks

The pool hall I have been going to has been smoke free and alcohol free for 6 yrs and its going strong.

we need more rooms that are smoke free.....

The pool hall I have been going to has been smoke free and alcohol free for 6 yrs and its going strong.

It is such a good image for the pool industry. When it becomes smoke free all over pool will finally resurge.

The smoke is the one most disasterous image that pool has. Smart people stay out of the smoke. We need these smart people in our industry. Not that the people that smoke arn't smart but their dying of with nobody to replace the bodies that play pool.

It won't be an instant transition but a slow methodical one because you need to build it from the ground up. just like building a town.

When i come to this state i will find the non smoking poolhalls where ever they are. I want to live and have a good of quality of life while I'm still here. No chemo or any of that wreck your body stuff for me if I can help it.

You should put their name on here and give them a little credit for what they are doing. It might even bring in a little more business. You never know.

Thanks for sharing that. geno........

Bama billiards today in Tuscaloosa

Hi there,

today i'm running over to Bama billiards to give a couple of lessons. If anyone in the area wants to talk to me in person about Perfect Aim or just flat out learn it come on over.

I'm gonna try to make a day of it. Maybe even some action.

Got some action last night. The guy took my picture and checked it out and quit.

Played the first set for 300 to 7. Was ahead 2-1 and got hooked. He ran 4 racks to put the first set in his pocket.

I win the second set 7-4. Showed everything. Had to because this guy played good.

He didn't want to gamble.

Gave Harold Perfect Aim lesson today......

It was real fun working with Harold. He's got a nice stroke and I can tell from being around him that he'd be a real pleasant guy to play against in a tournament or in some action.

While being there I see the extra mile he goes for his customers. And he's a player so he caters to the action and does whatever he can to accomedate.

I can see Harold is a winner and I can only see good things going on at Bama Billiards in Tascaloosa.

Tomorrow is my birthday and I already got a pretty good birthday present. I was talking to my brother that is 2 years younger than me and I told him I was going to be 58 tomorrow. He told me he was turning 55 in Oct. I told him that he was wrong that he was going to be 56 because he is 2 years younger than me and I was going to be 58.

Well, he straightened me out. I'm only 57 years old tomorrow. How do you forget how old you are or even get it mixed up.

Regardless, That's a pretty good birthday present finding out your a year younger than what you thought.

It must really be hard to keep track once you hit 80 or 90.

On the lighter side............and only 57....7/18/53
