Live! Jesse Bowman vs John Morra

Morra might not be able to win playing him 8B, he dosent move real strong, he shoots great and plays rotation/snooker games great. but 8B and 1P he lacks alot of knowlege, in a couple years he will have it. I have played him all games and know him well.

Jesse lost 1 set last night and offered to keep playing 8 ball John would not play unless they played 8,9 & 10 ball one set of each, Jesse said he was playing terrible ( which was true) but he would post 3 sets of 8 ball or bet higher at 8 ball and they said no.

Let me see if I have this right- John wins the 10 ball in 2 hrs. The 9 ball I don't see who won, just that Jesse was up 1 game when they finished for the night. The 8 ball John wins also. Jesse wants to play more 8 ball, and will raise the stakes, John says no and skips town. If that is the case, I believe there is a name for players like John.

It looks to me that John won the 9 and 10 ball sets but lost the 8 ball. Jesse wanted to continue playing 8 ball ONLY but John said no. Can't blame him one bit on that one.

Jesse Bowman originally agreed to another session of 10, 9, and 8-ball before the set of 8-ball started. But after he dogged the 8-ball set, Jesse wanted to play only 8-ball because he seen that John doesn't move very well in that game and figured he's got waaaayyy the best of it.

John & his stakehorse offered to play more 10, 9, and 8-ball, but Jesse refused, so they left.

(The above isn't from me, it's straight from the mouth of John Morra's stakehorse).

His stakehorse also wanted to add that they have now moved on in their quest for further greatness. :D

You've got it about right. JM won the 10B in 2 hours, 9B in an hour (or less). In 8B, Jess had a short-lived advantage over JM when he got tired (it was late and you could see JM faultering a bit). They resumed the 8B the next night and JM finished it off after about 2 hours.

The fact that the JM crew would skip town after handily beating Jess three straight sets in three different games has everyone here baffled.

I don't blame JM though, his "management" could make some better decisions. IMO someone with Morra's talent should be running with an equally talented crew.

Weird, the "quest for further greatness" usually doesn't involve walking out the door when someone is practically begging you to keep playing...AND is willing to bet as much as you can stomach.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not implying that Jess is a sucker (he's a shrude gambler and has as much heart as anyone), but they had him down and they just walked away.

Jm and his backers had their take. They damn sure did not want Jess to get into stroke when the bet was raised. It may have been the ass thing to do, but it was the smart thing to do if they wanted to leave up.

Smart,

he got the $$$ an left town, they are going down to Alabama I think he said, Morra called me this morning.

Jesse can beat him at all games if Jesse comes to play, on knowlege alone Morra dosent have to win playing 8ball, he knew that, thats why he didnt play anymore. that is smart when your on the road, and he is offically on the road since May, not bad this in day and age, weak as pool is. Neil you know that being on the road and gambling dont go together, Gambling is fine when you have a backer or have steady income, he cant afford on bad game on the road, if he makes one bad game he ends up back in toronto.

with respect
