And as you would imagine, Efren has not made a ball on the break again. He is 0-11 on the breaks...unbelievable.
Great opportunity for a 14 yr old hopefully he doen't turn into the Michelle wie of pool.

Austin is clearly nervous, but that's no surprise; he's playing arguably the greatest player ever to hold a cue. While it's obvious Austin is overmatched in this one, this is probably one of the best learning experiences he could possibly get. One thing I've found to help deal with nerves is just to get nervous. The more you experience nervousness, the better you deal with it. After a while, not only do nerves stop affecting you negatively, you start to look forward to the feeling, mental concentration becomes easier to slip into, and nervousness becomes a positive emotion. This is probably as nervous as Austin can be, so it only gets better from here.
Sigel is right, though, Austin's 8-ball pattern play is kinda bad, but that'll come with experience. More important than pool is the fact that Austin has a great support structure and he's a smart kid.

Well I can't see the kid coming back after this. It's 11:53pm EST, time for me to get my beauty sleep (and I need lots of it). I think I'll wait to hear Sigel say at least 15 more times how "Efrum" is struggling then I'll go to bed.

Efren isn't playing his best, but certainly good enough. Austin is way off his game. I have seen him play killer in tight situations. Since he has grown a foot though, it has made him change his grip and stance a little.
I think he is on tilt. He looks like he wanted to cry during the interview. I am sure it is overwhelming. He is not playing good patterns, not looking 3 balls ahead, and not taking care of his breakouts, like the one where he just needed to follow on the 11 in the side which he did, but then he took his other ball up table when he could have shot the 10 down table and broken out his 3 trouble balls. He needs to take care of those early if he wants to run out.
I also think he is trying too hard on his breaks to get more power than Efren, but he is losing control of whitey, always drawing up table with no shot. A big turning point was when he needed the bridge and accidentally touched a ball, probably with his shirt and gave up ball in hand.
Reminds me of when Sigel fouled on me (rolling a ball with his sleeve) and never got caught!!!
Anyway, I give credit to Austin to be where he is and it's a great experience for him. He has a fantastic future ahead of him.
