Yeah, I feel that way too. For pool's sake, specially US pool (sponsors)...

Btw, can you confirm this for me pareng Edwin? This quote came from a different forum, a boxing forum to be exact!

"Three days before the start of the tournament, I saw Efren Reyes waiting for a train at the Akasaka train station in Central Tokyo. He told me, him and his companions are playing in a tournament in Kanagawa, Japan and they are billeted in a hotel nearby. He was later joined by Django, and after a few minutes with another Pinoy companion, who I didn't recognized. They boarded a train bound for Kanagawa."

How can that be? Perry, Putch, Rolly and I just had a meeting this afternoon and got to talk to Francisco and Alex about our May 6-10 Sen. Villar Cup. They won't be leaving the country 'til the first week of May for the World Pool Masters. Efren is currently out of the country and won't be back until just before Alex and Francisco leaves as he's playing in our May6-10 event and he'll be flying in coming from the US.

Yup! Here, we recognized the problems leading o the decline of the sport. So instead of stakehorses/managers supporting different players
we formed stables. Since we are in agreement as to what was causing the decline we just got together and formed the BMPAP.

The USA is different because of the way of life there. Sport related industry in certain regions should probably band together and support accomplished players and furnish training for the hopefuls. Have an East against West rivalry of some sort.

I agree.

The only way to trigger another pool boom here in the US, aside from another pool movie blockbuster hit is if they hold a regional tournament all over, or better yet an All State finals were all 50 states are represented by their very best, pro or amateur.

The top half of the Draw:

Dimitri Jungo - Marcus Chamat
Chris Melling - Ralf Souquet

Bottom half of the Draw

Warren Kiamco - Dennis Orcullo
Ronnie Alcano - Bruno Muratore

No repeat of last year's finals (Alcano - Orcullo)...

Still, my money is on the bottom half...

I think that would be a great start to a new begining. The sport needs something and that could work...

I don't know about that, having too many divisions kind of keeps it too fragmented plus they do have a lot of that now. I'm thinking more like 3 the East, Central and West. All pool-related industries in the East Coast area should band together (pioneer this system until the non-pool related sponsors in their area can be recruited or enticed into lending support) and support East Coast players and hopefuls and so too with the Central and West Coast.

Primary difficulty that can be encountered with per-State competition representation is the financial backing needed for the State representative. Not every US state has a financially well-off pool-related industry thus some player representatives will most likely not have sufficient financial backing that can lower his/her morale.

I would say so since we got to talk to Francisco and Alex right there and then and just couldn't get a hold of Efren because of the time zone difference. Rolly did leave a message for Efren to call immediately though.

Thnx for clearing things up pare! And say hi to Boy Alice "Rolly" for me!

Really?

I know for a fact that the very sight of you at tournaments makes spectators laugh because they know what you're all about. People want to see REAL pool players when they go to so-called "world-class events," not British lobsters.

JAM

LOL, It must be so puzzling when I beat their favs hehe :p

Anyway bad luck on the 8 ball, but I have to say it's good to see you embracing this event! It sure makes a change to the nasty comment you made about the middle east and "camels" when you dismissed it last year.

Sorry abot SVB, has anyone lodged a complaint about the Mullet in the crowd? It's worth a try I say, isn't this type of equipent banned? I guess it would be hard to prove but surely they can link this boisterous biased Mullet to Bruno from past photos?

Go Melling

Go...

GREAT Britain!!!

It's good to see ALL the super powers still represented in the last 8, the mighty Filipinos looking strong though!

For whatever reason, you keep picking scabs, intentionally trying to start trouble with me.

I will write about camels and the boring-ass Buckingham guard personality players who look like robots on American TV, the ones you seem to adore, any damn time I feel like it. They stink.

Now, go at me. I am sick of you trying to dig up dirt at every thread I participate on. Shove your nasty comments where the sun don't shine and leave me alone.

I simply listed the leading breakdown of nations left in the event as many others have done in the past.

You then did your usual trick and replied with a diatribe of politcal BS.

Stick to pool, stop trolling players, abusing nations and I won't have a problem with you.

Now lets get back to the pool, there's 8 awesome players left in this fantastic WPA promoted event.

Unlucky Shane, there's no question he'll win this event soon.

Come on Melling!

The One I am beginning to think that the only reason you come on AZ is to pick fights with JAM. When JAM took her leave of absense from AZ, I very rarely ever saw a post from you. Now that she is back, here you are... Hmm.

Thank you for noticing that. I don't even respond to his posts until he targets me and intentionally, with malice aforethought, tries to pick scaps, bring up past threads, and cause trouble. He is like a fly in my ear, one which I would love to swat.

He says that I "troll players"? I am probably the most supportive person of pool players on the planet.

He is a no-good nit liar, a trouble-maker, and a troll himself. I am sick of him and his lies. He needs to leave me alone, and I mean it.
