I play Jeff Carter at 11 am.

Looks like a full field of 64 or close to it and a field full of monsters who came early to also play in the $12,000 added ten ball that starts on Friday.

Jay Helfert is running the tournament and it will be a good one. I seriously doubt I would make it to the tv table, but you should see some great matches.

Tournament will be played on 16 Gold Crown lVs with 4" pockets. Best room in California with action friendly owners, good food, booze and old suckers like me who fire up their social security checks. John

When people don't have enough brains or skill to play the game they call it stupid I think it's a self defense thing.
 
Just got in ,thanks for the heads up,....as soon as I got there the feed went down..lol,,just my luck huh?
 
Awkwardly enough, the guy I was referring to, will play straight pool.... AND he happens to love banks. Makes no sense to me.
 
Jeff Carter beat me 3/1. I played pretty well, but he banked and ran balls very well. Then Jeff lost to Hugo from San Francisco.

I was very lucky to win my next match against young Ryan Hartnett(sp). I won the first two games then the wheels fell off. The case game he needed one and I needed five or six. He made his game ball and scratched and I outlasted him and got some very good rolls.

I play again at 9pm and once more tonight at 11 if I get by that one.

Long day for this old fart but I will fire at my hole.

They will play down to the final 16 today and resume at 1:30 tomorrow. John

I think 1-pocket is a very good game and takes a great deal of skill, but I'd much rather watch 9-ball, 10-ball, 14.1 or 8-ball. Those games are much more spectator friendly
