Thinking of having a ringtail lizard wrap put on a cue. What cue makers do the best work?

Kenny Koo does ring tail as good as anyone. He's a fourm member AKA FLINGSNAIL. Give him a pm and he will get back to you. Here's a capone he did for me. It came out exactly as I would have expected from someone with such high praise.

Ditto that !!

Kenny's the go to guy...wrapmaster!

Not only does Kenny (Flyingsnail) do an expert job on wraps, he has a huge inventory of lizard and other wraps to choose from. Good guy to deal with to boot!

Lizard Wraps

Don't forget Mike Cochran at Tim Scruggs shop...Personal I prefer smooth leather for a playing cue. Lizard is rough and does crack. JP:)

for an everyday player i prefer lees lizard print wraps from brianna products. real lizard breaks down over time. scales flatten out and color gets dull. if you have a main cue you play with EVERYDAY thats what i like. i did a cue over 3 years ago and it still looks as new as the day i did it. lees is also on the thinner side which allows a transition back to linen if wanted most leather wraps are .020 or more. linen is around .015 which is about the same as lees teju lizard. ive done 3 this week. i use surgical scalpels and my seam is almost undetectable. only the changes in pattern give it away.

for selection kenny is the man to see. top notch work also. cant go wrong. hes a master of his art

i just did a black iguana on my skip weston and it came out perfect!!!!!!

like to add maybe i got some bad skins so dont let my experiences change your mind. also if its a high end cue of any kind i feel real lizard is the only way to go!!!

I like linen wraps and if I ever put a leather wrap on a cue i'd like to have the option to go back to linen if I didn't like the leather wrap. I have a friend who had a cue repair man install a leather wrap on his cue one year at the US Open and he tried playing with it at Q-Masters Billiards that night and the next day he got the same man to take the leather wrap off and put linen back on his cue. If they had sanded his handle down to install a thicker leather wrap he couldn't have switched back to linen without building up the wrap groove some way.
