Loctite 454

Yep any respectable Industrial Supply House keeps all this type product in a frig. Probably why this one is a little harder to find.
The name Locitie is Industrail Brand name. 454 is a "GEL VERSION"of 404 ie.super glue:thumbup:
I've been using Loc Tite Ultra Gel as of late. Only place I can find it in my city is Home Depot. I just finished a break shaft yesterday. I used a linen phenolic ferrule with a Super Pro tip and tonight I took it out for a test ride.
The tips is still on so thats a good thing.
As for the 454, I've never seen it at either Canadian Tire or Home Depot.

Man, I can't handle that. Can't do the tilt-a-wirl any more either. The grandkids teased me asking 'Wassa matter grampa-can't you take it?' So- I puked on em.
Seemed fair to me-they puked on me when they were babies. We're even.
They don't insist I go on those rides with them anymore.

When I first started out in the bidness I used Loctite 227. About 50% of the tips I installed came off so I switched to 454. 
Exactly! I only use Loctite 454 and I only buy it from a place that caters to the aircraft industry and keeps it refrigerated. I also keep it refrigerated until ready to use. It definately makes a difference! Even says so on the packaging!
