long or short pivot point?

"cue with a long natural pivot length" = "low-squirt cue" = "LD (low CB deflection) shaft"

Yes, for the people who like LD shafts. And based on how successful Predator and other LD shaft suppliers have been, many people like LD shafts.
I can't imagine why you would want to do this, but this is easy: Do the opposite of everything that is done to make a shaft low-squirt. For example, don't turn it down to such a small diameter, use a heavier ferrule, and/or insert a heavy core in the end of the shaft.

Long pivot, very likely a Low squirt on cb. very desirable for most players.
I don't think you can, unless you can increase the shaft size or increase weight in the ferrule area.
I've been making Qs for 24 years & never heard of a Qs PIVOT POINT. What is it & how can I find it?...JER

Well I learned a new term. I have always used a form of fronthand english, but never referred to the pivot point. It was always referred to as the BRIDGE POINT. THANKS...JER

its like anything else...terminology screws with you at times.
When i was up in colorado they asked me for a tubing valve......so i looked for a dam hour. Untill an old man asked me and I said what I was searching for.....he says oh thats just a 2 way selector! That i knew lol but I still scratched my head for a hour lol.

You can get way too involved in the process of things at times, too.
Some of the best players I've ever known, would laugh in your face if you asked them about half of that stuff.... They have no clue whatsoever, and play on pure instinct and muscle memory. No aiming systems, no thought about deflection, BHE, etc.
