My comment regarding this topic was related to "Expenses" associated with playing in "Professional Events" which I have personal experience with and can comment on intelligently.
The $18,000 figure is a rough guess. I spent roughly 2 grand to play and attend Derby! US. Open is $1000 entry fee and another $1000 for hotel roughly. That is just 2 events and these guys attend over 10 events during that period of time or more.
I don't know what I did to "YOU" or anyone else to be randomly treated with such disrespect and venom? Does not matter why? All that matters is, that I maintain the high ground and "Behave" admirably and turn the other cheek like Ghandi and MLK preach. Let the community see your true colors.

His expenses and entry fees and expenses obvious deducts so I highly doubt he pays much taxes if at all and he books 100k + yr earnings pretty much every yr
Even in the greatest of times you could count on your fingers players who made top cash playing pool ,,
People bring up snooker as being high paid really the NFL salary cap per team is roughly 133 million per team

The millennial generation is huge and a perfect target for an activity that requires no physical skill, practice, or dedication.
The video game industry has over taken Hollywood in earnings long ago. They have buckets of money to just throw into the crowd (in the form of money tournaments)and keep them coming back for more. These kids are locked in for good.
Yes, cuesports just can't compete.
No practice or dedication ,, hardly the fact is they live eat and breath it and the field of competitors dwarfs all cue sports combined times a 100 easily it's into billions of revenue and growing everyday

I've lived in hotels for 25 years for work, I would think that makes me the ultimate expert on cost of living while traveling. The cost of entry fees can be found easily, so don't fool yourself into thinking you are something special.
