Looking for a cheap solid hitting cue.

Hi guys,

I have been playing pool and reading the forums for a few months now and I have just decided to buy my first cue.I want a solid hitting cue that is straight, new or used doesn't matter.I would really like to stress on the hit which is what matters to me the most.

I am willing to pay $250 inclusive of shipping to asia. If any one has any good offers send me a pm with pics and we can take it from there.

Check out the McDermott Lucky Series cues. They are an import cue made for McDermott but they have the same solid hit as a McDermott cue and they cost from $59.99 - $99.99.

Try Star cues by McDermott.
 
Star Cues

I had one for a little while. It was a great playing cue. I sold it to a girl on league and she loves it. I would definetly recomend one.
 
Thanks guys checked a few star cues out. They look pretty good for the price. What do you guys think about pechauer? I just might be able to get a slightly used pro series.
 
I know my credibility as an AZ poster may take a hit here, but I would consider buying one of those Dale Perry cues on eBay. Now I have read and heard all the negatives about his cues, especially the low resale value, but I recently traded an inexpensive Lucasi (which are also decent hitting cues for the money) for a Dale Perry a guy had bought on eBay for under $200. I was surprised at the quality of the cue and how solidly it played. In fact, I have been using it as my player lately despite have several much more expensive cues lying around. It's a Radial pin joint and I bought a second generation Predator 314 to stick on it. Sometimes I play with the Predator, but I think I play about as well with the stock shaft that came with the cue. Just do a search on eBay for "Dale Perry pool cue" and you'll find that he always has a dozen or more up for auction. On a negative note, if you are unlucky and happen to get one with a problem of some kind, I can't assure you that you will get great customer service as Dale and his two co-workers are cranking out over 100 cues a month. Also, the tip on the cue I got was totally unplayable as it was unraveling and couldn't be properly shaped. I put on a Triangle tip myself and the cue plays great.:)
 
You can buy the new lucasi hybrid series cues, i have heard they are made in same production line as predator and they the 8 pie shaft almost like predators.should be real value for money cues.IMO:thumbup:

i always see schmelke being recommended for a cheaper cue, and rackem's import radials (perhaps you can go straight to Kao Kao in China?)

this is <$100 range though
 
your in Asia? This is a no brainer. Tai-Can.

Tai-Can is a name of Factory, not a brand of cues. It’s the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for Predator, Universal, Lucasi, BCE, Buffalo, Adam, Licos, etc, etc, etc. They are one of the largest and most would argue, highest quality production cue OEM's in the world.

Start doing some research on who they are, what they do, and how you can get to there cues directly.

What do I win :p I to would look at the DP cues on e-bay but !! Remember this : You get what you pay for ..
 
Thanks guys I finally bought a cue. I took all your ideas into consideration , did my reseach and at the end settled for a tai-can factory made cue. The finish on their cues look fantastic. Thanks for all the help guys. I was hunting for nearly a month now and very content with what I got.
