you would do better to buy a production cue, cheaper and fits your requirements. My base price for a basic cue with pretty good choices of woods and 1 shaft are at the starting point of $600.....as you are not just paying for the materials and time, BUT the expertise in putting it all together into a usable, and great tool for pool! Your request for it to be at the $300 mark is an insult to the cue making world. Hope you understand
Actually, I dont.I was in contact with a cue maker, who would have made me a cue to my liking for 250$ unfortunately
he does not take custom orders anymore.And a cue maker on the forum offered me one he made for 375$ again unfortunately, I did not like the wood.

Where did I say you asked for a free cue? I asked if you thought supplies, storage and maintenance were free.

Go to a bar you rarely frequent and borrow the nicest house cue you can find and take it your local cue maker and have them cut it in two and put a pin in it. pick out your favorite tip and get him to put that on as well. You should end up with some change.
kidding aside it all boils down to someone's time, if a cuemaker is any good they have invested lots of time and money into being able to build a decent product. It is unrealistic to think they would value their time so little as to be able to build you a cue for that price. If that is your budget than your best bet is a cheaper Chinese production cue.
