Looking For a Similar Table in the US…

And as he's calling the shots, I'd imagine an auto lacquer could be used that would be more durable and effective at reducing scratch appearance than wtf they used on the gc4.
Only thing is shiny black shows EVERYTHING. Cars, boats, airplanes, whatever. Looks great when all clean and buffed but it can't hide a thing. Its gonna show every smudge, scratch, mark you can imagine. A buddy in Dallas bought a GC3 piano-finish and he gave up trying to keep it pretty. He buffs it up a couple times a yr.

If you go the Diamond route, you can order maple wood instead of oak. The pores are much tighter, and when painted black, it will look much smoother than oak painted black.

I know you said glossy black, but if flat black will do you can get a brand new GC6 with that option.

I do prefer finished wood over the GC laminate, and if I go Diamond, I will absolutely go with Maple. We are thinking the same.

If Diamond can’t do a gloss top coat, that is certainly an option. Finding a mechanic and a refinisher willing to coordinate around here might be challenging.

Any idea how Diamond works? I mean there are no dealers in my area and they said I would work directly with them. So I am curious how this thing gets inside my house.

Where do you live?

I don't, but the folks at diamond are great, as are their local reps, in my experience.

That said, I'd be surprised if they do a glossy top for you at a price you'd find reasonable. It isn't really a custom shop

I was just hopeful since they will do custom stain colors, but you are probably correct. I have now asked so will see what they have to say. But I wouldn’t expect the same mirror finish seen in the table I originally posted. Was just hoping they would be willing to shoot gloss lacquer instead of the satin.

Discofever,
Looks like you're flexible,
reality is closer than you think,
Black acrylic polishes out to gloss just fine, multiple lifetimes of use with 600/1200/1500grit repolishing.
If center stage, the future and dimensionally challenging on a wenge and walnut base are desired, I can come up with one, in about a year or so.
Game changers and all - $check for price, delivered

I am in the US - middle Tennessee. Been looking for local used options for over a year now, and that just isn’t panning out. I am close to seeing if Diamond will do a gloss top coat for the Professional and being done with it. But I really would like ball return.
If a ball return is a must you might like the PRC rail finish of the diamond for a pro am set up. It's semi gloss and the waves in the rail finish look cool imo. Some are not a fan of the white diamond logo for living room tables you can order it blacked out so it's black on black. I think the pro am is a fine looking table but it does have a more industrial look. Best ball return in the biz sounds like that may be a must to you. There is a really sweet all black drop pocket Connelly Ultimate that's been on eBay for awhile also. I think it looks bad ass.

I would actually be ok with the pro-am table if not for the absolutely huge black side cabinet.
