Looking For a Similar Table in the US…

Have you seen the Paragon? Also Diamond used to make Cocobolo and other exotic wood tables. IDK if they still offer them. But that would probably look even better than a piano black finish.

What's your budget? I wonder if the more custom builders like Vitalle (spelling) might get you what you want.

Hello. Can anyone help me determine if a similar table can be had in the US? This is a Buffalo Pro II which I believe is made in the Netherlands and only available in Europe. Looks like a GC clone.

I am trying to find a good quality gloss black table. It’s going in the middle of my house which basically makes it the primary feature of my entire home so looks are pretty important for me. I called Brunswick and they confirmed that they will not do custom finishes.

Canada billiard and bowling has offered a black crown commercial table for years, that looks very much like the Brunswick gold crown in black.

I think someone else already commented but the diamond paragon may be more your speed aesthetically. They are pretty expensive but it's a stunning looking table.
I guess I am probably starting to seem a bit overly picky, but I feel like what I want (original post) is pretty simple. For me, the Paragon is beautiful except for the legs. I cannot unsee a bowlegged cowboy.

I am going to contact them this week to see if that table is available in finished wood instead of laminate. Thanks for the suggestion.

I didn’t think my GC4 played much different than the Blue label. What differences do you see in play? Did you get 4.5 corners?
I believe each corner pocket played slightly differently, due to differences in the- admittedly never measured- pocket cut angles.

The rails are also consistent all over the table. Going 3 rails pocket to pocket is the same from each start point.

I also find the Artemis rubber far superior to the superspeed, it feels like what I find on 3c tables.

I think my findings are more than just new shoes syndrome. IMO, the diamond is better by every measure, except the bridge holder and the ball holder.

could ask but this is a commercial table they've made this way for years. just don't see them doing a one-off table. since you said it first i'll go ahead and agree, you are being overly picky about this. good luck with this quest.

Take off the top and have it re-finished in gloss black. can't be too hard o do.
When I was young I was a yacht refinisher. Refinished bright work and also refinished antique lake yachts like Riva's. Mark Gregory has an outstanding finish on his metal work and woodwork on his centennial tables. It might be worth a call to him to ask what his thoughts are. A friend here just had him deliver a new centennial and it is the nuts to say the least. Not cheap but absolutely stunning.. He posts on facebook using his name and there are tons of pics of his work. If the OP wants a show table this is what I would do. Playability and looks of his tables may just be the best in the industry IMO, bar none..

Ha, I had that coming for sure.

Granted it may be something I am not willing to afford, but Canada Billiards does advertise that they will design and manufacture custom tables. In that sense, I would think that taking something they already make and changing the finish would be feasible.

if you insist on something that perfect and picky just pay the price and enjoy it. how much is searching for a year or two worth to you.

but if you settle for a little less after a month or so of looking at it it will get to be natural for you.

I mostly agree with your last statement.

I have been looking for a little over a year already. But it seems thus far, no matter what I am willing to pay, a table similar to the one in the OP just isn’t available to me. Of course that’s why I finally came here to ask those that would know.

Have you talked to toledotrent? He might have a line on a piano finish GC. They made quite a few in both 3's and 4' so one shouldn't be too hard to find.

I was not aware of him beyond seeing a few posts. You are referring to trentfromtoledo correct? I will reach out to see how that could possibly work from another state. Thanks!

Yes that's him. He travels all over. Re-does a lot of GC's and knows where they may lurk.

What ball holder🤬

For a company that promotes its self as on improving every aspect of a pool table playability they are severely lacking in two areas. The so called ball holder is a major engineering afterthought.

if you like the one in the pic you posted in europe just buy one and have it freighted over to your house.

Agreed. I think they're really missed an opportunity with the wire contraption they went with
