Thanks for everyone who offered to help out,we are not looking to pool money,more for a corporate sponsor and a company for Angel to represent for as she is looking to play in many of the mens events this year.She is humbled by the support by all of you though and the offers,thanks to everyone again and you guys are the best.If your a company and looking to sponsor someone then PM me.

I wish I could - but right now I can't do it - or I would. This is a great opportunity for someone to sponsor a great player. Angel is a tough draw for anybody - male or female - and she is a classy lady that has a great rapport with the fans. We have to support our players - all of them.

Lenny, if you don't get somebody by tomorrow, give me a call. I know some people that know some people.
 
My dad is part of a group of people that own a couple race horses - when the horse wins they each get a part of the winnings. So if he owns 10% of the horse he gets 10% of the winnings.

I'm not saying pool players are horses but if you were able to get groups of people to sponsor players, instead of just one person putting up all the cash, I would think you'd be more successful in getting sponsorship. You would of course need a "lead sponsor" or something to do the organizing but I think it'd be possible.

I have to say Dave,she is a really good person with a ton of heart,plays very well.Hopefully we can get her someone who would like to sponsor her in the 3 events,8,9,and 10 ball. :)

Either last year or the year before a pro player ( I think it was John Schmidt) posted on this forum that he wanted a backer for valley forge. No one had the full amount, so several people put something like $100 each to make up the full amount.
Would you be willing to take several backers to cover the cost. Something like nine people putting up $50 to make up the $450 you need. We could send via paypal. I would be up for that if she can't get a sponsor for the full amount.
 
I kind of like the overall team approach myself. Let me talk to the wife about it tonight, but I'm thinking that I can take a good piece of it without too much of a problem. Lenny, you should think about what type of return you are offering, if any is even realistic, just in case she does well.

I will put $50 in the pot and don't need a return. She is a wonderful person and just want to see her be able to play. Someone else that puts in can take my cut if they want but if she cashes I would prefer to see her keep my cut.

Because it is. The rooms are cheap, the pros show up, it's alternate break so anyone can win, it's three tournaments back-to-back-to-back so if you get eliminated you start up again the next day, TAR is there, it's in a casino so you have 24 hour action......do you want more reasons?
