Hi -
I just finished a limited cue design tool and would appreciate feedback from anyone patient enough to try it. Still has some bugs and takes a long time to load. Looking for comments, suggestions, bug reports, etc. Is it useful?

Thanks,

Hi Again -
Just a note of thanks to all of you who tried the tool.
All suggestions are good ones. I hadn't noticed the small
ring problem and will hit that first. I agree the woods are too limited and adding new woods is a real challenge - goes to core design changes (I know I should figure out how to modularize this). Yes, setting and changing the veneers is awkward - basically you have to first click on a "DONE" veneer which sets it to "PICK" and then repick the new one. Also, I see that sometimes the little butt window veneers disappear when you recall and continue an earlier design. They're still in the design and appear in the larger view - but I haven't found the bug yet that removes them from the smaller view.
Thanks again for all the great feedback!
Ed

All in all it's not bad. It's funny though, I've seen a fair number of the cues you took the rings from...lol.

That's very good... I would love to use something like that if I ever get to have a custom cue made.

If you designed this all by yourself, you did a great job.

I forgot to mention that a problem I was having is that it sometime wouldn't want to add/change veneers.

Well if you are on Dial Up Internet Connection, the Thing will not work, as I tried, and it failed.

But if you have a High Speed Connection, the Tool Works well, as I tried at my Club, and it Worked WELL the Only problem I see is all the Variables the Soft Wear Maker Needs build in so that some of the Intricate Designs like Gina & PFD offer.

Think the Tool is a Cool Tool.
:D

worked good .I need the inlays for the points and want a black outline for the ebony window but yea like the program.

Hey, that's kinda neat.
With a little more work (and keep up the good work) this should turn out to be a great tool.
You might want to also add a wrapless option with different woods as well.
:D
Again, keep up the good work.

Hey that's pretty cool! Good job. As a non cuemaker, it was easy to use and I didn't run into any bugs.

Cheers,
Regas

Nice job I made a few, I think it was 11 and 12. The only problem I had was, I made the cue with a leather wrap and when I went back to look at it it had a linen wrap.
