Looking for Diamond Pro table pictures

I'm going to be purchasing a table in a couple of months that will be going in my living room. The G.F. loves the Brunswick Gibson but for that price I am more inclined to go with a Diamond Professional.

The problem with the Diamond is there is no showroom where she can see a new table with the different wood/stain options. I took her to a pool room that had GC and Diamond Smart tables with negative results, so I need to change tactics.

I am looking for good pictures of Diamond Professional tables. I need to sway her opninion and would also like to get ideas on what wood/stain would best fit my room.

Thanks for the help.

I have a Pro Am, 1 piece slate. Love it! I had been playing on a GC11 previously and there is no comparison. Get the Diamond! The Gibson does LOOK nice, but the diamond plays better. IMO. I'll forward a pic of mine soon.

They may have some pics here or I'm sure Brian would send you some.

Website

does show the different models and stain colors (I like the Cherry with Brown
Cherry Stain).

They list 2 sizes of an 8' table, the second actually being a 8 1/2' table.

Interesting to note that for $500 extra, you can get automatic ball return on the Diamond Professional.

I like the Diamond Pro/Am table a lot, and the Arkansas table.

I don't have a link to any pictures but I can tell you that the Diamond Pro I have in light oak looks great with all our antiques and above all it plays like a dream... better than any table I've ever played on anywhere (but I do wish I'd done dark oak). You may have to give up a little bit in the area of furniture type beauty... no carved legs etc but the Pro is the best table in the world and still looks dammed good. It loooks like a pool table not a dineing room table with holes.

Call Diamond and talk to them directly. I've had my Diamond Pro for 2 1/2 years now and I absolutley love it. You won't find a better playing table. I worked very closely with Diamond on my table design. The skirts & legs on my table are black laquer, the table top rail section is clear coat natural maple, the rails themselves are wraped in black Simonis, the table bed is 860 Simonis in the Camel color. The Tournament light is clear coat maple, with the corner caps in black laquer.

So with all that being said call them they will work with you. Good Luck.

That two tone table does sound great, I too would like to see some pix on that one.

I sent diamond an email asking for pictures of the Professional in different wood types and stains. Nothing back from them on that one.

Needless to say this site is absolutely loaded with info.

Thanks for the input,
I appriciate it.

I get the impression Diamond doesn't sell too many tables in the premium finishes, but they should still have pics of all wood types/stains on their site

Nice space! How much did that table setup cost?? Diamond Pro in an Attic with switch back stairs? Caaaaaarazy!

Also, did you have to get an engineer to check the floor, or otherwise bolster it?

Some Diamond Professionals I've set up, one piece slates and 3 piece.

Diamond Pro

It's the only table to own and the only one you'll ever need. I purchased one about 8 years ago from Greg that was used in a tournament in Vegas. After the tournament he sent a mechanic with the table up to my home in Illinois as well as furniture, cues, cue racks etc. All of much better quality than the Brunswick furniture and table I had previously owned. I'm not a big fan of the one piece slate or ball returns, could be a problem moving it around. A good mechanic can set up 3 pc slate just fine, like mine and the Diamond Pro leather pockets are top notch. The added feature is the Diamond Pro will make you a much better player and I believe it is less money than the GC. IMHO the best!

Glen,

What is the stain on that second table?

Russ
There's no stain on the table, that's outside sunlight interference creating shadows on the cloth. I had just finnished setting up the table.

Hey Realkingcobra we moved the 9 ft diamond pro upstairs tuesday and I ordered the rubber from diamond, when we took the table down the skirts were screwed to the rails with wood screws. There were tapped holes and washer marks where the 3/8 by 1 1/8 bolts should have been, I got those at the hardware but noticed that there is supposed to be bolts from underneth to level the center of the slate. They had used wood shims along the center frame to slate at slate ends, should I find new bolts and if so what length are they and are they plain 3/8 by 16 bolts. Leonard
