Looking for Diamond Pro table pictures

There's no stain on the table, that's outside sunlight interference creating shadows on the cloth. I had just finnished setting up the table.

Glen

I don't mean stain as in "a stain", I mean stain in "wood stain color".

When you first described the table, I honestly did not think the table would look nice at all.
But that table with the two tone is just out of this world.
Awesome results and I really appreciate your taking the time to post the pictures.

I am going to have to pass you some greenies!

Thanks,
Myron

Wow!

I love the color combo. Did you get this idea from the Gabriels Sig Pro? That is one incredible table BlackCat. You're livin' the dream.

Thanks for all the compliments guy's, I originally saw the Brunswick I think the model is the Metropolitan with the Maple Rail System and I liked the look, then a year or so later I saw a C.L. Bailey with a somewhat similar design. I thought that the Brunswick was grossly over priced, & I wasn't to sure of the quality of the Baily. The thing that sold me on the Diamond all along was the fact that it's been designed from the initial conception for the Pro Player, and I wanted a table that would push me to the limit without doing something crazy like shimming the pockets down to 3 1/2 - 4". I really didn't know I'd be able to get the table the way that I envisioned it until I called Greg. He was more than helpful I think he really went above and beyond, he actually sent out wood samples and everything to help me with my selection, he actually had one of the maple samples black lacquered so I'd have a sample.

So that's the whole story guy's and why I always recommend Diamond Tables their simply the best in service and also playability.

Black Cat.

Thanks, Black Cat, for posting those pics! Very cool looking table! Any chance you could post one more pic showing the table with the matching light? I bet that adds a real nice finishing touch to have a two-tone light to match.

Black Cat, That really is a beautiful table. Thanks for the pix.

Does anybody know what wood/stain combo the Pro table on the Diamond website is? It's very difficult to tell from their wood stains page.

Glen, I saw a post where you had installed a Professional with one pc slate. Have you done any since then? What is your opinion, 1pc vs. 3pc, on the Professional model.

Is it my imagination or did Diamond raise prices on thier Pro models in the past few weeks? Just my luck.

Thanks for the help.

Two Tone

Does anyone have Pro-Con comments on two tone tables??I've never thought about it.Playability I mean.

I don't care for the cushions being a different color than the bed. I don't like the looks and I don't think I'd like playing on a table with black cushions. Give me good ole green pool table cloth any day. I'm just a stuck in a rut geezer... and that's the truth :D

Gee Whiz Jim don't worry about hurting my feelings, I guess your entitled to your own opinion. But, since you jumped out there I guess I'll at least make an attempt to enlighten you a bit. Allot of thought went into the design of my table, when I finish my basement the table design and color combination will compliment the room style and the color combination of my decor.

Once you play on the table you don't even notice the rail color's if you do your concentrating on the wrong thing. Now I will say this I would not want to play on a all black cloth or red, burgundy, purple, or any other weird color. Because it would make it difficult in my opinion to see the contrast of the balls. My favorite color choices are green, aqua blue, and camel possibly even gold.

Other than that untill trying something, or knowing the in's and out's of someone else's thought's don't be so quick to bash.

Take Care, Black Cat

Hey Roller, I honestly have never had a problem playing on the table. The 4 1/2 inch Pro-Cut pockets are gonna give you more of a problem than the color of the cloth or rails. I do have one friend of mine that the first time he played on the light cloth he did comment that the table was a lot brighter than playing on a darker cloth, but I've alway's found that to be a good thing, there's nothing worse than playing on a table with bad lighting, a dark cloth only makes things darker.

Anyone else have any thoughts?

I didn't "bash" you. The post right above mine asked for opinions and I gave mine. That's all. I did'nt say anything bad about the table or about you... just that I didn't care for it. You have about 30 posts from people who do like it but my one post that your table doesn't suit my tastes and that I don't think I'd like playing on it upsets you. I guess you demand total admiration. All I did was try to answer the post above mine. Until them I hadn't said a word and didn't plan to because I didn't have anything good to say. But when the guy asked for others opinions I answered.

I don't care about the "in's and outs" of your thoughts.. the reasons why you choose what you did do not matter in the least. There's no need to explain why you did what you did. I don't care why. I just don't care for your taste in decorating your pool table. So what? Is that bashing? I'm not saying it's bad or ugly or that you are a bad guy or all your taste is in your mouth or anything else insulting. I'm not making any sort of judgemental statement. I merely said, in response to the post above mine, that I don't care for it. I prefer a plain ole wood finish table with green cloth. I didn't reach out to try to hurt you or attack you as you have me. Your post is the one that contains personal attacks and is downright condescending ... "let me enlighten you". It's not about being right or wrong, good or bad, it's an opinion.

I also don't like John Wayne, Ford Mustangs, cherry pie or cues with inlays. I prefer Al Pacino, Chevy's, blueberry pie and rather plain cues with no wrap. Those are simply my preferences but to you I guess that's bashing Gina cues, etc, and I shouldn't say anything or communicate my preferences for fear it'll conflict with your personal opinions and hurt your feeliings. I have no idea what will hurt your feelings. I won't attack you, or try to hurt your feelings, but your hurt feelings are also not my concern or my fault.. that's on you.

You rip me for giving an honest opinion, when another poster asked for just that, and then you ask for more opinions. Suppose there's somebody else out there that doesn't care for what you've created? What then?

It's not my intention to start a tiff here, but the original question as I understand it was a question of playability of the table. A Diamond table is reknowned for it's greatness of play, and construction. All of the attributes that a Diamond table offers has no added benefit's because of the color scheme choosen on the wood or cloth. That's why offense was taken, though you may not have intended any. That's also why I went to the extent to offer my insight on how and why I made the desicions that I did. I would not visit anyone's home or otherwise and say oh I don't like the way you've done this or that for the fact that you just might offend that person be it a friend, acqaintence or otherwise. I entered into this disscussion because someone is considering getting a Diamond Table and I offered my honest experience with the company, and there commitment to service and to be able to produce a table that is not in their catalog or design models.

So with all that being said if I've offended you then I appologize.

Hey not a problem, I'll discribe it. The light is the Tournament Model, that's the narrow one. The entire assembly is Natural Maple like the rails, and the rounded corner caps are Black Lacquer I felt that the entire thing in Black Lacquer with the underside being Natural Maple would be over kill.

I'm glad that I've been able to be of assistance to you. I'll get them up over the weekend, I've been in a class all week for the state board exams.

Take care, Black Cat
