I have a couple of friends getting ready to build a new pool hall in Reno, NV and they would very much like to get hold of Monk (Warren Costanzo). They would like to hear the history of pool in Reno and there is no better person then Monk to ask. Does anyone know how to get hold of him? Thanks

His last recorded tournament was in 2012 in Sacramento. I'd ask in pool halls in Reno and Sacramento if no one here knows where he is.

Last time I saw him was at the billiard ultra lounge (or something like that) in Reno near MeadowWood Mall. Probably 2016/17.

sent you a pm jay.

the only pool room to be succesful ever in reno was the keystone cue and cushsion. micky peel opened it in 1969 and was great becuase it was run right and had great burgers and brought in people to eat from all walks of life.

Hope you are successful locating Monk. I'm sure he has some great stories about Reno and elsewhere. Any idea on when this pool hall in Reno is suppose to happen? I would love to see it.

His FB is here:

I used to have his email address. From what I remember he had cancer. If I'm remembering correctly, I made a donation and he had sent me a draft book that he was writing. But I can't find the email or book right now.

(I see you have a different last name listed. So maybe this is a different "Monk"?) Opps. I guess it is a different person, you are looking for Warren Costanzo.

Micky was a very good friend of mine. He set up tables for me at a couple of tournaments and we co-produced a big event held in Idaho.

They are looking for a location now. They already have tables in storage.

we hung around together as well, hunting, shooting, fishing and bars. micky had a terrible temper and backed it up with his fists and martial arts and hurt many people.

Yep, you didn't want to get him mad. But he and I got along fine. He gave me the tour of his facility where he was reconditioning old slot machines and selling them to foreign casinos, like in Central and South America.
