Thanks! I sometimes wish I had a wife! ;)

Wait a minute, didn't I read in there you did this for your wife??? Don't tell me she left you after you built that for her? Man, you could have anything you wanted if you built that for me (assuming I was married to you!)

Here's what I get to play on (posted under a separate thread called 'My New IPT Sponsor).....

No shirts yet, trying to find one without too many holes that just came off the clothesline in the background there, and then trying to put the shirt through their inkjet printer for a nice logo. :p

I just finished my basement last year (with help) for the sole purpose of fitting a 9’ table. I gutted the space, moved columns and beefed up a beam. It sure helps to know an engineer or two!

First image is the plan which makes the whole project a breeze if followed. The next image is the finished product. It ain't great but it's all mine!

Hope this gives you an idea or two…

Lora

How about a picture of you on the pool table, you are quite beautiful.

That sort of thing is still illegal in most states. :D
Matter of fact, we are about to vote on Proposition 2 here in Texas, which is a proposed constitutional amendment to effectively ban so called "Same-sex Marriages".
While I am not a proponent of gay marriages, I don't like the idea of the government telling people who they can, and cannot, marry. This is a moral issue not a legal one. I don't need Big Brother to legislate my morality for me.

I don't want this thread to become about politics or religion, however, I feel it is just the opposite, it is about a legal issue. If gays could have a legal ceremony that guaranteed their legal, custody and property rights, there wouldn't be so many wanting marriages. I have proposed they go through a civil ceremony in front of a judge called a 'Gayrriage' before friends and family that would give them those rights, without the attendant religious concerns.

Anyway, I said that I would marry her tongue in cheek, cause damn, I love that room and most women DO need a wife, or at the least a personal assistant. lol

Gayrriage

It's been said that most people who are against gay marriage are against the "marriage" part, so a "gayrriage" would be a fine alternative. HOWEVER, the wording on the Texas ballot is ridiculous, and I, too, hope it doesn't pass:

"The constitutional amendment providing that marriage in this state consists only of the union of one man and one woman and prohibiting this state or a political subdivision of this state from creating or recognizing any legal status identical or similar to marriage."

If it fails by one vote, you can blame me. I went north to vote this morning at the volunteer fire department which was the last place I voted, and they weren't voting there, so I went west to the main voting place, and after waiting in line, they said I had to go to a different place 10 miles east. I really had to get to work, so I couldn't take the extra who knows how long to drive back to find a place I've never been wtih iffy directions at best after already taking the extra 25 minutes or so going to the wrong place and waiting in line at the other wrong place... What is this, Florida?

I'm ashamed to say that they passed something similar here in Missouri by an alarming margin! Something like 70% for?! I was certainly in the 30% to not make that an amendment. :(

Didn't mean to get everyone off the subject, so here is a picture of some friends that came over to play pool at my house .... LOL

It looks like they're playing snooker and not pool! I can't even imagine playing on a full sized snooker table like that!

I cranked the fireplace up today. It's a propane unit. Installed by yours truly.

Stuffy dining room furniture is for the birds.

My fiancé decided I needed a table in stead on a fancy place to eat. She is so cool. Sorry the pics are so dark and not doing this room justice. This is what you see when you step into the house from the front door. (Please excuse the Christmas decorations in the windows. LOL)

The black wall is covered in black suede that is woven. The pics on the left side are of Moscconi, Gleason, and the Older Newman shooting their cues at their nemesis', Fats, Younger Newman, and Cruise on the right, which are shooting right back at them. My fiancé made and framed the pics and did the decorations.

Thanks for all your great pics!
